(CNN) - Sarah Palin is slamming a new book about the 2008 presidential campaign that largely portrays the then-vice presidential candidate as wholly unprepared for the national stage and poorly versed in a range of pressing issues.
"These reporters were not any part of what I was doing there as the VP candidate," Palin said on Fox News Tuesday, her first appearance on the network as a paid contributor. "I don't know who they are. I haven't met these guys."
The book – "Game Change," written by political reporters Mark Halperin and John Heilemann - alleges McCain aides quickly grew troubled with Palin's lack of understanding on key issues, including the job of the Federal Reserve, the difference between North and South Korea, and the purpose of the war in Afghanistan.
"It's a bunch of BS from [McCain campaign manager Steve] Schmidt and those guys," Palin said. "It's pretty made up."
But the former Alaska governor did confirm one of the book's allegations: not knowing exactly who was behind the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks and falsely believing former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein played a role.
"I did talk a lot to Steve Schmidt about the history of the war….could there have been any connection to Saddam [Hussein]," she said. "So I admit that I asked questions about it."

I can't fathom that she was one election away from being the next person in line to be president. How can anyone in todays information age not know that Saddam had nothing to do with 9/11? That admission alone is enough to never take her seriously on anything she says.

From my observations Sarah Palin appeared to be a "fish out of water" in the national political scene. It also set her up for the Alaskan progressives to force her out of office using the financial burden of false allegations. Mark Halperin and John Heilemann are just looking to cash in on the popularity of Sarah Palin. Had her book tour not been as successful she would only have been a footnote in the book – "Game Change."
Anybody that thinks this woman is clever is dumber then a box of rocks. McCain lost my vote the first time I heard Ms. Palin's gibberish nonsense.
Much more preferable to have a politician ask questions, admit ignorance on a subject and seek knowledge, unlike stupidity of the current administration, which can be resolved rather than pretend to know it all.

One of Steve Schmidt's most compelling comments however was related to Mrs. Palin's apparent inability to accurately tell the difference between what is actually true and what she perceives to be the truth. I'm sure in her mind, and in the minds of her sheep, this is just another example of the liberal-biased media taking shots at her. Unfortunately she was repeatedly exposed during the campaign as someone who appeared to not have a very good grasp of even the most basic concepts in subjects like World and American History, Civics, and the subtle nuances of the English language. There is no doubt that she was successful in Alaska politics where these skills are probably not as important as a bubbly, roguesque personality!

Excuse me? Asking whether or not Sadam had any connection with 911 is not the same as not knowing who was behind the war. Of course she knew about Bin Laden. Whether or not Sadam might have been involved is a legit question and one that many people have asked. There is no "confirmation" of the claim made in the book as CNN states.
