Palin calls book claims 'BS'

Palin is refuting a new political book's claims.
Palin is refuting a new political book's claims.

(CNN) - Sarah Palin is slamming a new book about the 2008 presidential campaign that largely portrays the then-vice presidential candidate as wholly unprepared for the national stage and poorly versed in a range of pressing issues.

"These reporters were not any part of what I was doing there as the VP candidate," Palin said on Fox News Tuesday, her first appearance on the network as a paid contributor. "I don't know who they are. I haven't met these guys."

The book – "Game Change," written by political reporters Mark Halperin and John Heilemann - alleges McCain aides quickly grew troubled with Palin's lack of understanding on key issues, including the job of the Federal Reserve, the difference between North and South Korea, and the purpose of the war in Afghanistan.

"It's a bunch of BS from [McCain campaign manager Steve] Schmidt and those guys," Palin said. "It's pretty made up."

But the former Alaska governor did confirm one of the book's allegations: not knowing exactly who was behind the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks and falsely believing former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein played a role.

"I did talk a lot to Steve Schmidt about the history of the war….could there have been any connection to Saddam [Hussein]," she said. "So I admit that I asked questions about it."

The Mc Cain campaign can only blame themselves for what happened. I am not a fan of Sarah Palin but I think she got a very raw deal from them. At least it has worked out for her financially.

Palin does not realize that when she opened her mouth, the country saw how incompetent she was/is. And since then, she has gotten worse.

Maybe if we all ignore this media hating / loving, clueless, self abosrbed, seccessionist she will go away. The more we recognize her presence and record her minless ramblings, the more drivel we have to endure from her.

We all heard the BS , but it came from Palins mouth. She must be confused about the facts again ! " It's pretty much made up" . Doesn't that leave parts that are not made up ? I believe it does .

Well i'm not going to claim her book is BS, just a publicity stunt. Palin herself however is nothing but 'BS'.

OK OK so the book tells the truth about democrats but what he says about republicans is BS oh gee oh gee typical republican spin. And how about this....Lauer asks McCain about his vetting of Palin or LACK OF. And he says "well that's something that happened over a year ago and I don't know about it and I don't care"..................................

Then we have him and the republicans spinning and spewing and slurring Senator Reid about something that was said GOING ON THREE YEARS AGO about Reid endorsement of President Obama which they are trying to make into a racial slur.

ANOTHER ONE OF THOSE REPUBLICANS SPINS TRYING their darnedest to get something out of nothing.

Also, if republicans are dumb enough to believe the U.S. government wasn't behind 9/11 then you don't even deserve to comment. She really thought Saddam was behind it? Incredible she can be that clueless.

So Palin's newest "rogue" act is to join the "gotcha media" that she's been complaining about for years?

    Geez, talk about a hypocrite!

If you can't beat 'em, join 'em.

I don't believe you Sarah we know how stupid you are. We also must remember that most of what Obama is trying to clean up was done by the republican party

Why does this woman continue to embarrass herself on the national stage? Why won't she go away? She has nothing to say. Every time she's in the news, all she does is refute whatever is said about her. The Palin story is getting old. I can just see some sleazy agent seeing how popular she was with the "real, uneducated" America and saying, "I'm going to make you a star." She will do anything, ANYTHING, to make a buck. Reality show? COME ON! This woman is a national embarrassment and it's even more embarrassing that she has such a faithful following. Only Fox News would actually have her on as a paid contributor. What does she contribute? Please, just go away.

Of course it is BS, nothing but a smear campaign. Funny how many people listen to that crap and believe it. Just like so many think Obama can run the country because he gives great BS speeches. Too many people fall for and believe the BS they are fed. Wake up and use your brain...........if you've got one.

Don't believe everything you hear, especially when it comes out of BO's mouth, who has proven himself an incompetent commander in chief as well as a LIAR.

So what she is saying is that if the reporters were not actually there then it is all made up? So if a Fox News anchor reports on something, but he or she was not in the room when it actually happend then it is BS, right?

I loved how Sarah said there was a disconnect between President Obama and the White House. I guess she doesn't know where the president lives. Add that to a huge list of other things she doesn't know – what the Vice President does, what the Federal Reserve is for, that Africa isn't a country, why World War II was fought, that the Earth is over 6000 years old...

Man, am I glad that McCain brought this woman to the attention of the American people and the Republicans got so excited about her. We needed a good litmus test to show the public how dumb the average GOP voter is, and now we have it! Anybody want to join a party that finds her to be a viable candidate?

Gee! There is a big difference between "falsely believing former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein played a role" and "I admit that I asked questions about it". You need to stop the biased reporting and be real journalists...

Schmitt, and now Halperin and Heilemann have really hit a raw nerve, haven't they? Truth hurts, Ms. Palin? The sooner you realize that you are just pretending to be an intelligent person, the sooner you will stop being in the limelight, and we can stop seeing your name on this Ticker. You're not a politician. You're a running joke, and most intelligent people know that.
