Obama appears in new ad for Coakley

President Obama appears in a new ad for Martha Coakley released Monday.
President Obama appears in a new ad for Martha Coakley released Monday.

(CNN) - President Barack Obama appears in a new campaign commercial for fellow Democrat Martha Coakley, the party's candidate in Tuesday's special election for the late Sen. Ted Kennedy's seat.

The ad began running on television in Massachusetts Monday, one day after the president was the main attraction at a rally for Coakley Sunday in Boston.

The commercial uses portions of Obama's speech from the Sunday Coakley campaign event.
"Martha knows the struggles Massachusetts working families face because she's lived those struggles. She's fought for the people of Massachusetts every single day," says the president in the ad. "As attorney general she took on Wall Street and recovered millions for Massachusetts taxpayers. She went after big insurance companies, took on predatory lenders. That's what Martha Coakley's all about. Every vote matters. Every voice matters. We need you on Tuesday."

Coakley, the Massachusetts attorney general general, is deadlocked with Republican state senator Scott Brown, according to recent polls in Massachusetts.

She is an elitist pig who knows nothing about the people or her state. I hope she goes down in flames. It's typical of the elitist attitude in Washington right now - enough is enough! Vote these corrupt politicians out!

All people of Mass, get out and vote for Martha Coakley on Tues! We've made too much progress as a nation within the past year to take a step backward and put a Republican in this senate seat. Dems = Progress. Republicans = Destruction and Decay.

Great, the kiss of death for a democratic candidate to appear cozy with Obozo. How come you didn't report about the MSNBC commentator that told people they should vote as many times as they can to make sure Coakley is elected. MSNBC is actually worse in their liberal support and bias than CNN.

If one issue is going to make Mass. vote in the party who gave us this economic mess and the illegal war where 1000's of bright Americans are dying for no reason, then have at it.

The public has lost faith and trust in politicans. Obama went to Mass. and gave a terrific speech. But he was saying save Coakly so she can vote on a bill most American's don't want. One that is full of backroom deals negotiated in secret. Get real.

The Democrats dropped the ball on this race. Thinking this seat was a guranteed win was really thinking in a stupid way. They better hope they win tomorrow or they are really going to loose big in November. Oh and I'm a faithful Democrat!!!

All the in fighting and not just doing what the leader of the party want is coming back to haunt them now!!
This will be a political upset and will have a long impact!!

Im sure this ad featuring Obama will push Coakley to victory!!! LOL, Give me a break. Democrats are doomed. It started in NJ, went to Virginia and will continue in Massachusetts. The Radical Terrorist Sympathizer Marxist Party formerly known as "The Democrats" are finished in this country. These band of radicals will be thrown back into the cesspool they crawled out of. As far as "clueless and chief" is concerned, one and very much done. COUNT ON IT

This ought to be good. The tide has turned on OBOZO.

The more this clown appears, the more unhappy people get.

His policies are awful, his promises broken, and he has proven to be a liar and a typical politician.

OBOZO and his socialist agenda have awoken the average american, and his tele-prompter "use car salesman" speeches aren't working anymore.

I agree with you Philip on that one issue making people vote-their precious wallets. If he wins, I won't be visiting my relatives in Mass. I refuse to spend my hard earned bucks supporting their economy.

The Democrats would like you to believe that if Brown is elected, he will shift control of the Senate to the Republicans. Not true. It goes from 60-40 to 59-41. They still have an 18 vote lead. Maybe the Democrats need to wake up and LISTEN to the people of America who DO NOT WANT this Healthcare Bill shoved down their throats. This is why Brown is leading in the People's Republic of Massachusetts. The same poll that gave Brown a 48% – 46% lead last week indicated that 51% oppose Obamacara vs. 35% who are in favor of it. That is in the Bluest of Blue states. Democrats need to start listening to their constituents. Start over on Healthcare Reform. Do it out in the open and not behind closed doors. Do not give Labor Unions a 2 year tax exemption on the Healthcare bill (bet you didn't know that....behind closed door sweetheart deal for the Unions...wink wink)

When Coakley loses tomorrow, she has no one to blame but herself. She has run an awful campaign...completely out of touch with the people of Massachusetts and falsely attacking her opponents record. As for Healthcare Reform...Democrats have no one to blame but themselves. A 60-40 majority...a fillabuster-proof majority...for the past year and they couldn't get it done. Absolutely shameful.

To the insulting name callers, grow up! Martha Coakley has worked hard for the people! A candidate runs around in an ad in military battle gear who has never been close to a fight and trys to convince people with his condescending attitude that he is the one to take office. Please do not be taken in by these ads! This man does not represent the peoples' desires or interests anywhere!

If Republican Scott Brown wins Kennedy's senate seat, Brown and his family will then be entitled to the nation's best medical insurance, that enjoyed by Congress.

Yet Brown plans to deny any for the rest of us.

Congress' plan for medical insurance might not be the best, but something is better than nothing–it would be a start, anyway.

Enjoy your medical insurance, Scott Brown. I will be thinking about my older women friends who can't afford a mammogram.

After reading these comments, I hope the people of Massachusetts see what is at stake and go to the polls to support Martha Coakley!

You have a choice between a candidate who cares for bankers and the privileged few and one who cares about all people and their children's children.

Why would the people of MA elect someone who does not care about them? The republicans have made a caluclation that the way back into power is just to say no to anything that the democrats want to do. I voted for Barack Obama. I do not agree with everything that he's done. The man is trying to and working very hard. Please give the man a chance. It didn't take 1 year to get into this mess so why would it take 1 year to get out of it? The republicans only care about themselves. If the people of MA vote Scott Brown, you will be sorry.
