Washington (CNN) – President Obama called Scott Brown on Tuesday to congratulate him on his victory in the Massachusetts Senate race, the White House said in a statement.
A Brown adviser told CNN the two men had a "very relaxed conversation" and said the president joked about playing Brown and his daughter, Ayla, in a 2-on-2 basketball game. Ayla Brown is a starting guard for the Boston College women's basketball team.
According to the White House, "The President congratulated Senator Brown on his victory and a well-run campaign. The President told Senator Brown that he looks forward to working with him on the urgent economic challenges facing Massachusetts families and struggling families across our nation."
The president also dialed Democrat Martha Coakley to thank her and urge the Massachusetts Attorney General "to continue her advocacy on behalf of working people."
lololol...man, just when you think Obama couldn't be more of a loser, then whoops, he loses again....lolol......I've never seen anyone with more of contra-Midas touch....everything he touches turns to manure.
Obama! You lost my next vote!!! Your sitting on your behind and not following through on your promises is all I can take. You are the one that blew the health care bill. You kept the war going. Say anything to get elected, that is the American way!
I think our president has a lot of class to even speak to someone about to destroy what we have worked months for, to give our people medical care don't you see that. ?Just because the politicians are all covered with insurance, what do they care about you. They don't.There are people writing comments who take the attitude that if someone isn't working, it's because they are lazy and don't want to work. In my own family I have three people now out of work who have twenty and thirty years in their work history who are now unemployed. Look at all the auto company people, been there for years until the bottom fell out. The building industry that laid off thousands and thousands of people. Try feeding a family on unemployment, then you can rant.
the president is a class act as usual
Congratulations Scott. President nice gesture.
Lets all work together to help the people of united states. We can do it.
We can do better.
Yes we can.
Can't help but respect this guy. Our president is a class act.
my company pays 80 percent of my 31,000 dollar health care insurance plan... No wonder why jobs are all overseas... And stupid republicans don't see the problem... How can we be this blind! My premiums just rose again and you people are crying about taxes! I want to puke!
2010 and 2012 elections are coming and nobama will be standing in the lime light and will be sent home in 2012. This country does not need this tax and spend liberal.
Obama has demonstrated that he is a bi-partisan president who can work with anybody as long as it is for the good of the country. His call to congratulate Brown shows that in spite of all the republicans' wish that he will not be a successful president, Obama has no ill feelings towards any of them. That is what we should expect in a president.
I think the Democrats should walk away from health care reform. it is clear that most Americans don't want it. let big pharma and health insurance own us and take everybody to the cleaners. That is the way the Rush Limbaugh's want it. Let's see how bad Americans want it if Democrats walk away. They should leave it in taters and our economy with it.
Obummie the gig is up. Your socialist policies are not wanted. You are already a lame duck.
Of course he did. He makes $400K per year. Mr. Obama has a job and is a multi millionaire who does not have to worry where his next meal comes from.
He has the time to make fun of a man for driving a truck around the state of MA.
Do you suppose Mr. Obama felt the earthquake that just hit D.C.? It started in Massachusets.
People are already fed up with the arrogancce of the Obama administration acting as if they rule the world and Brown's victory is says it loud and clear. I say it's karma – the way Hillary Clinton was treated by Ted Kennedy during the primaries as well as the way her fellow Democrats betrayed her made me switch from a life long Democrat to an Independent. People don't forget.
One year of losing proposals with the promise of change in Washington...we can clearly see the emerging of NObama...maybe he should pay attention to the will of the PEOPLE of America...
Perhaps NObama should try to drive a truck, but he might just be to superior for that...
Pkm obama you might as well forget about health care no more 60 votes i think mass said kennendy does not own us any more mass you will be sorry
Is a nice performace, keep it up.
