Washington (CNN) – As Sen. John McCain readies for a potential primary challenge from the right this fall, the Arizona Republican is playing his trump card.
Sarah Palin, McCain's former running mate and perhaps the most powerful brand in Republican politics, will stump for McCain in Arizona on March 26 and 27, a Palin adviser told CNN. The presence of Palin - and the considerable crowds and media attention she will draw - might give pause to J.D. Hayworth, the former Republican congressman and radio host who opposes McCain's position on illegal immigration and is mulling a Senate run of his own.
The former Alaska governor will also hit the campaign trail in the coming month for two conservative heroes - Texas Gov. Rick Perry and Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann.
Palin has already endorsed Perry in his primary fight against Texas Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison; she will appear with the governor in Houston on Feb. 7.
Palin and Bachmann, meanwhile, will team up on April 7 in Minnesota.
If anybody really cares about Palin read the book I just finished "Going Rouge, Sarah Palin, An American Nightmare". What's so frightening is so many people fell for her total lack of intelligence. Sex appeal is a,ll she has going for her.
They should have the same outcome as they did in the 08 race....
What? First, she helps him lose the presidential election, so now she's going to help him lose the AZ primaries???
mccain you might just loose.
Presidential-loser John McCain just announced on the media that Massachusetts voters spoke for "all Americans" concerning the change that will come to health care reform now that senator-Elect Brown is heading for office.
McCain, you don't speak for me or any of my neighbors, family, or friends here in Oregon.
One thing I am going to do today is make sure my people know what great medical insurance benefits that as a senator Brown and his family will receive that Sen Brown plans to make sure the rest of us will never get.
I think the BEST thing for the Democrats would be if she ran. I think she out of her depth.
Didn't Cheney endorsed that woman, what's her name? Hutchinson I believe?
Southerncousin, you hit it right on!
McCain suffers clearly from Alzheimers and should retire. Someone needs to remind him that this empty headed, uneducated redneck, inarticulate and unpolished quitter has ruined his chances of becoming President. I would never have this quitter on my team. Why is she not going away??????????
McCain on the Senate floor fought the good fight today. If he fights hard for change in the Senate on both sides of the aisle and for the enabling of sensible progress, I say keep him.
am a Democrat for good bipartisan legislation. Let's see who is for a better America and who is an obstructionist. Go Tea Party!
OH MY GOD, you Dems are going to eat this blog up with hate mail.
She is a winner and you Dems hate her for that.
She may not be the next president but you can bet that she will be a voice for the good of America.
Did you hear that we have a new senator. :)
2010/2012 Real Change is coming (just like yesterday)
Sorry John, too little too late, if you had attacked Obama on his background and his ideologies when you should have you maybe would have been able to retain your seat come 2010. You have been part of the established corruption that has overtaken our Government and our society as the status quo of politics and big business, a rape and pillage mentality. Brown's win was not about Republican versus Democrat in it's entirety, it is about American's being sick of watching our Nation's fall at the hands of self serving millionaire politicians and their special interest lawyer lobbyist corporate masters. 2010 is a rat killing that actually may put some everyday hard working American citizens in office to fend off the give away of our precious Nation and Freedoms!
Glenn Beck cheats on his taxes.
It's a bad day when good free speech awaits moderation, and then never sees the light of day.
I love the Progressives continuing their comments, even after Democracy was reborn in Massachusetts. I am sure that they and their messiah will continue to wander blissfully through the hinterland and never realize the true Americans are coming back to full form through those silly things called tea bag assemblies. They still don't realize that we are returning to the pride in America brought about in 1776, a year that I am sure that the Progressives have very little understanding of.
OMG. HIS TRUMP CARD??? I AM LAUGHING SO HARD, IT HURTS!!!!
What message is he trying to send? I have a ninny and I know how to use her? Even a 2-year old learns that if you do something and it causes you pain or suffering, you don't keep doing it.
Senility and Stupidity.....together again. Such a love story....
Did you not learn anything from your Pres. campaign? This woman is the death knell for anyones political campain, except the opponents!~
We are hearing a few wise voices in the Dem party who see the writing on the wall, but their leaders including Pelosi, Reid and the President are ideologs and will not give up. They have disdain for the American people, they call us "Tea Baggers", racists, stupid, etc. It is always the Dems who try to divide us and pit groups against one another.
Theyn will no doubt under estimate the people again and blindly racde ahead with the agenda which has turned so many people off this past year. We may dodge the worst of their damage because of this election but we can't get complacent.
God bless the American people
Nov. can't come fast enough.
Bad Move McCain. Hasn't this woman destroyed you enough already? Michelle Bachman doesn't stand a chance in hell getting re-elected. This Massachusetts race was such a farce. I'm glad to see the Republicans are betting on false hopes.
so sarah moose jaw, is back at the campaign trail. She will do McCain the world of good
one old tired man, and a female hen. .. the gop. loves good drama. arizona will be fine.
Only in the good ol' U.S.A.
This is too much. How lucky is the old man to have the Alaskan Air Head as the one to endorse him?
Another blunder by the master blunderer having Ms. Blunder give her O.K. to the Blunder Campaign.
Sarah Palin is increasingly becoming a powerful brand across the country. Thanks to abuse of their unchecked power in Washington, Americans are looking closer at the issues and becoming concerned that Washington is all about the politicians and not the taxpayers anymore. Sarah Palin is and always will be about the taxpayers and the good of the country. She is not about cutting back room deals with special interests to cram an agenda through.
LOLOL!!!!!!! Typical CNN! STILL totally OBSESSED with Palin!!!! The ONLY story that can be commented on is the Palin story :)
Hey, CNN, did your – LOL! – "best political team" even NOTICE that there was an historical election last night??????????? Or were they too busy crying over the fact that their hero Barack was slapped in the face?????????
ONE AND DONE!!!!!!
Hey southerncousin, In case you missed it, Browns win is all over the front page of the CNN website... the only ignorant person that missed it must have been you...... By the way, what does that have to do with Palin endorsing McCain??? I thought Sarah was the new Tea Party darling???? Why is she endorsing the Rich, highly partisan Republican??
