Washington (CNN) – As Sen. John McCain readies for a potential primary challenge from the right this fall, the Arizona Republican is playing his trump card.
Sarah Palin, McCain's former running mate and perhaps the most powerful brand in Republican politics, will stump for McCain in Arizona on March 26 and 27, a Palin adviser told CNN. The presence of Palin - and the considerable crowds and media attention she will draw - might give pause to J.D. Hayworth, the former Republican congressman and radio host who opposes McCain's position on illegal immigration and is mulling a Senate run of his own.
The former Alaska governor will also hit the campaign trail in the coming month for two conservative heroes - Texas Gov. Rick Perry and Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann.
Palin has already endorsed Perry in his primary fight against Texas Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison; she will appear with the governor in Houston on Feb. 7.
Palin and Bachmann, meanwhile, will team up on April 7 in Minnesota.

We need to get rid of McCain next. He will try every dirty trick in the book. We need honorable people at the primaries and at the voting booths. Time for McCain to go, he's done enough damage to this country.
Why does the idea that anybody with half-a-brain actually care or listen to the endorsements of this vacuous woman scare me? Probably, because she is the Queen Lemming, leading more and more voters off a cliff and into the abyss of eternal cluelessness. The problem, it's beginning to look like they're going to the rest of us with them.
lololol.....I turned on kommandant Obama's state-controlled media outlet MSNBC last night......it was absolutely hysterical.....they all looked like they were sucking on lemons as Scott Brown won the election. Especially that idiot Keith Olberman(what a loser) and Nora O'Donnell. She looked like she was going to start crying at any minute. What a riot.
"Resounding defeat of the Obama agenda?" There you go again, putting the Fox News spin on things. Massachusetts is one of our fifty states. That's hardly a resounding defeat. But I guess in the mind of the right wing neocon nutjobs, that's a Fox News landslide!!
McCain's democratic oponent must be celebrating knowing Palin will be campaigning for McCain. This is every politicians dream to have someone like Palin campaign for their opponent!!!!!
I guess McCain wants to retire.
Dear Southerncousin – I do not understand what it is that you think is so great about palin – while it is clear that she is attractive – that only gets the door open after that you must have something to offer – like loyalty to ones agreements – that being the voters of alaska – with whom she was a quiter mid stream – with a background of agreeing with and making deals with the Alaska Independant Party – about the AIP I suggest that you go online and read all about it – then you can make a informed decision about that – Now for the best when palin does speak she is plainly not very well read nor does she being to understand the depth of subject matter – and has proven herself to make some of the dumbest comments that have ever been uttered by anyone in public life – almost all that came into contact with during the failed campaign of 2008 came away feeling that she is a light weight and only is a pretty face – so I say again what do you see in her????
I am so done with this GOP. Does no one realize that all that is happening now, even after President Obama's one year in office is relative to the condition the former GOP administration left this country. To hear the pompous rhetoric from the GOP, birthers, tea partiers is absolutely insane. Where were they when the rich just kept getting richer? Oh right, they were right there getting rich with them.
Maybe Bristol can squeeze out another illegitimate baby before the Texas campaign. That would help get the family values voters.
why is this palin person still newsworthy??!!??
Has Mccain not learned a lesson that she cost him the election in the first place and the things she had said about him and his people in her book. But the old boy will get all excited again. Wonder how much he is paying her to do this. Cindy better be right by side.
Brown's victory was the execution of true democracy and the Strong VOICE of Independants, Republicans and Democrats alike.
Palin and Bachmann.....
Palin and McCain.....
Palin and .....
What do you call someone who makes guest appearances for money? An "Entertainer" not a "National Leader."
Palin can campaign for whoever she wants. Currently she isn't a politician and isn't on the government dime. Obama on the other hand is supported by taxpayer funds. Whenever he flies, we pay millions.
Note: Obama has refuses to LINK the democratic losses in Virginia, New Jersey and Massachusetts to his out-of-touch policies and ideology. If he CHANGES course, he can still turn out to be a decent president. Obama just needs to stop spending and focus on policies that help the American people, rather than benefit only his political party, labor unions, people in our country illegally and Goldman Sachs.
People want REAL healthcare reform, not government control over healthcare.
Palin is just what McCain needs.
This article reads like a who's who of the lunatic fringe: Palin, Bachmann, Perry, Hutchson, McCain. They're all a bunch of whacked out nutjobs.
And to "southercousin", the Obama agenda didn't experience any "resounding defeat" last night, Martha Coakley did. But don't let the facts get in the way of a good political rant. Speaking of arrogance and ignorance, better check your own.
Amazing! The only comments allow on this ticker as of now, is about Palin. I pray that all the mean and demeaning things allowed/said about her, will allow her to rise all the way to the top, and allow all her enemies to fall.
he really really wants to lose
Sarah rising, Obama failing.
Life is good.
Mistake
Oh goodie....sarcasm intentional
S.P. better have some bodyguards at that meet up- I can see McCain lunging at her and trying to strangle her and screaming "IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT!"
But I guess he didn't learn the first time...
The fox is outfoxing all; Sarah Palin pioneered the simple commonsense approach to policy-making and started a movement the likes of which this country has never seen. Of course the Palin-haters wouldn't recognize it, but then again they think what happened yesterday in Mass was "Bush's fault." What do you expect from delusional people.
No matter how you spin it, Brown won and his win is a repudiation of the Obama policies, especially health care. It was a tidal wave against the status quo.
And if I sound like Sarah Palin, it's because I agree with everything she said in her commentary last night on Greta. She nailed it. Right on the money.
palin is such a joke and loser!
