This guy has a great public relations firm. Admit to lies to every American citizen then rush to pose as Florence Nightingale. That said, I commend his interest in Haiti under any premise.

damage control, John? Give it up. Better to do public service out of the public eye. Not sure what a lawyer can do in Haiti now anyway. Send some of that money you've got instead.

What the hell are you going to do to help? File a class action lawsuit? Sign up potential clients as they're dug out of the rubble? Get in the way and hide from the US media (YES!)?

You're not fooling anyone into thinking you're a humanitarian by leaving the country on the day you finally, partially admit the truth (that stuff about 'wanting to admit it for a long time' is BS - you never would have said anything had you not been caught by the photogs).

Go back and beg your cancer-stricken wife to forgive you. Spend the rest of your life trying to make it up to her and your family (yes, the baby included, but NOT the baby mama).

CNN, as much as I love them, but to report Haiti and Edwards child in the same reporting is wrong. Clean it up CNN and do a better job editing what you report.

I think John sees this as an opportunity; starving women who don't have the strength to run from him.

Dishonor your family due to an insecurity and try to re-emerge as a saint.

    We're not buying it.

WELL, Americans are very forgiving BUT my concern is for Edwards
wife and initial family. not Reill. It takes a lot of time to be forgiving!
They may forgive but not forget!

Edwards amends to his wife and family could turn into

turn into a life of giving and serving
"the people". the less fortunate. Like fighting for the people with Pres. Obama!
Remember Ted Kennedy served "the People" all of his life to make
    amends.

Why is this man in Haiti ?
There is no reason for it at all. Get out of the way and let the people doing the actual work have at it.

Don't these poor people have enought problems!

John Edwards is useing a horrific human disaster in the most crude way possiable, to hide from his pathetic personel life. If this man were trully concered he would quietly and anomously write a large check to the Red Cross. I hope his publicity stunt doesn't interfer with those actually doing good work.

    Totally disgusting!

Wait until nine months from now – see how many babies are born in Haiti. I think it's rather strange that he would bring up this obvious revelation while the we're all focusing on the important things.

I supported him during his campaigns but now....

This loser ambulance chaser is in Haiti and not Hades? Did he bring his videographer with him too? I don't think he'll be able to resurect his image or reputation with this photo-op. Maybe Obama could go with him and they can compare blown opportunities.
