(CNN) - Bristol Palin is demanding Levi Johnston start paying up.

According to court documents filed Thursday in Alaska and posted on the Web site TMZ, the 19 year-old daughter of Sarah Palin is demanding the father of her one year-old son pay $1,750 a month in child support payments.

Palin is also seeking back payments beginning from late December 2008, when the child was born.

According to the court filing, Palin says Johnston made "in excess of 105,000 in 2009 through various media interviews and modeling related activities."

Palin also says she has received only "sporadic financial assistance" from Johnston over the last year - $4,400 in total.

Johnston's manager contends Palin has been paid more than $10,000 by Johnston since her son was born, according to TMZ.

Palin's attorney, Thomas Van Flein, said in a statement to CNN: "Bristol has set forth the facts regarding child support in her affidavit filed in court. The law in Alaska is clear: a parent is obligated to support his or her child. It is unfortunate Bristol has to seek court intervention in this regard."

I totally agree that Levi should support his son, but I do belive that $1,750 a month is excessive. Although Bristol is the primary care giver, where is her financial obligation towards the baby.
It does take two to make a baby, or has she forgotten that part.
This is certainly greed on her part. Hmmmm, wonder where she got that from. She is being as pathetic as her mother.

And he should pay up. Now I know that the liberals will disagree for several reasons. 1) The hate women. 2) They hate the Palins. 3) They love dead-beat dads. 4) They hate white people. 5) And they hate Christians. 6) They hate people who are successful in life.

However, I think he should pay. It is his duty as a father.

This is a private matter. Why is CNN obsessively trumpeting people's private lives?

At this point I am inclined to believe Levi Johnson. If Bristol's mother was a truthful person I would almost be inclined to believe Bristol that Levi hasn't paid up. But she set the standards in that family by making stuff up and lying about things on how the media treated her, and death panels and the like, etc., so now who would want to believe anything that comes from the Palins??

I am quite sure that Levi has paid Bristol her money. This is no more than another Palin Publicity Stunt (just like her Mom). Here is a young woman who believes in "abstanance", I guess that didn't work!

She lives at home with mommy and daddy. What bills does she pay to ask for that kind of money?

you play you pay...Pay your support Levi, but 1750.00 per month for one child! Sounds like we have a mercenary little minx who wants to hurt the husband where it counts. Typical

Yes I agree he should pay child support payments BUT, 1700.00 a month is a bit much when you don't have a steady job.
Also, if he is paying child support, he should have visitation and the right to take the child on weekends or trips if he so chooses to.

Why is this news? No different than other fathers who do not pay for their child. Should not be worthy to cover. Oh I forgot, its Sarah Palin's daughter. Maybe she can be an advocate for deadbeat dads.
