(CNN) - Bristol Palin is demanding Levi Johnston start paying up.
According to court documents filed Thursday in Alaska and posted on the Web site TMZ, the 19 year-old daughter of Sarah Palin is demanding the father of her one year-old son pay $1,750 a month in child support payments.
Palin is also seeking back payments beginning from late December 2008, when the child was born.
According to the court filing, Palin says Johnston made "in excess of 105,000 in 2009 through various media interviews and modeling related activities."
Palin also says she has received only "sporadic financial assistance" from Johnston over the last year - $4,400 in total.
Johnston's manager contends Palin has been paid more than $10,000 by Johnston since her son was born, according to TMZ.
Palin's attorney, Thomas Van Flein, said in a statement to CNN: "Bristol has set forth the facts regarding child support in her affidavit filed in court. The law in Alaska is clear: a parent is obligated to support his or her child. It is unfortunate Bristol has to seek court intervention in this regard."

And this belongs in a human interest section, CNN. If America taught children sexual and other types of personal responsibility, instead of hiding normal functions, we'd have a far different society. Marketing, Competition, Consumerism and all the rest of the values you all try to sell is the reason for these stories.
While the welfare of everything and everyone is important, you folks in media operate under false logic. The justification for the importance of this single family drama is that media says it gives folks what they want. This is the false premise because media gives what it wants for the money. Highlighting the travails of this Palin family is actually NOT what majorities WANT from CNN!

Thats expensive child support. What did she do ..figure out what it would take to break him. She sounds like shes taking her cue from MOM...Get it while you can.
Why can't Sarah and Bristol pay for that child? After all, she's raking in thousands a speaking engagement, hundred thousand for a photo. If I was Levi, I'd try to spill everything on Palin in hopes of getting custody and then make them pay me child support.
With Bristol's income she should be paying Levi. Sarah, take your brood and disappear, please.

It figures. Let's see.....then Gov Palin told Levi not to come around anymore didn't she? Since it takes 2 to tango, why put the blame on Levi? It seems it still all about money in they eyes of the Palins.

The good news, is that these 5 Right-winger Supreme Court Justices just painted the biggest target on their backs (or heads, hopefully), and one can only hope that someone stops their revolt against America by "dispatching" them to Hell where they belong. Then President Obama can replace them with someone who doesn't champion the destruction of America like the Right-wing so obviously wants. And while we're at it, bring all troops home to fight the real threat to America, the Conservative activists.
How is it that all my godless, immoral, liberal, city dwelling friends avoid having unplanned illegitimate pregnancies while the daughter of the spokeswoman for conservative values can't seem to manage it?

Baby daddy, momma drama is not necessary when people use the legal course of action in the beginning. You'd think the Palins would know how to take care of this kind of business when a child is born out of wedlock and not one year later. The truth is yet to come.
