Borger: Expect more partisan words

(CNN) - "From some on the right, I expect we'll hear a different argument – that if we just make fewer investments in our people, extend tax cuts for wealthier Americans, eliminate more regulations and maintain the status quo on health care, our deficits will go away. The problem is that's what we did for eight years. That's what helped lead us into this crisis. It's what helped lead to these deficits. And we cannot do it again."

"Don't blame me, it's all Bush's fault. If he hadn't started the deficit spending, I wouldn't have had to triple it."

what got us into this mess was poor management by congress of fannie mae and freddie mac, which was I think supposed to be watched over by franks and dodd. Tax cuts to middle americans would free money up, not more welfare give aways.

I think that CNN and other news stations need to stop showing these responses after a Presidential speech. There is only one President and only he can give a State of the Union0–this is not a campaign and should not be treated like one.
This is what the President meant when he said that the media is hurting our democracy and it need to stop. Stop making everything a campaign speech.

    shame on all of you
