Palin declines to be a Weatherproof model

ALT TEXT

Weatherproof is removing an image of President Obama Wednesday. Sarah Palin has also declined to appear in an ad for the company. (Getty Images)

(CNN) - The outdoor brand Weatherproof is again out of luck as it searches for a high-profile face to lead its "A leader in style" ad theme.

The company first acquired the rights of an Associated Press photograph of President Obama sporting a black Weatherproof jacket during his trip to China last fall. But the company never asked permission from the White House to use the image, and when it appeared on a billboard in New York last month President Obama's aides demanded it be taken down.

The company agreed, hoping to replace the president's image with one of former Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, who has also been photographed in a Weatherproof jacket.

But Palin's attorney tells CNN her office has declined the brand's request.

No word on which famous pol the company may look to next.

Golly darn! Can hardly believe that money grubbing narcissist is turning down the opportunity. I think it is because she is coming out with a new line of visors, with black marker blocking out names of people that you respect(ha,ha). My understanding is that the visors will make you "incognito."

But she's not a leader. She's a quitter. How could she be part of a "leader in style" promotion?

I'm thoroughly surprised that Palin turned down a chance to show her mug again – and for free!

    ------

Keep Democrats in the White House – put Palin on the Republican ticket!

Palin said no, but I'm sure she asked if her husband or daughter could fill the image instead. LOL

  18. Hey, All Republicans, ---- Burn in hell

Too bad Palin is not StOoPiD proff because she is the most uneducated dunce on the planet. I can't believe the GOP used her a their weapon of choice to defeat Obama, who is light years away from anything they can ever conjer up in their top secret lair. What a bafoon she will always be. Obama looks like James Bond in the picture above. His mission is to rescue the middle class from the evil grips of the dark side GOP who will kill their own mothers to keep from paying taxes – even Jesus paid taxes, but the GOP says it is a sin for rich Americans to pay taxes.

Quit associating the product with politics, and go to Hollywood for a spokesperson. that's what Hollywood does.

I wouldn't want to appear in a Weatherproof ad either. I had the misfortune of buying one of their coats a couple of years ago, and it's junk. Customer service is non-existant. Credit where credit is due, both Obama and Palin no better than to endorse shoddy merchandise.

I bet O'Keefe would jump at the chance. Can't' you see him with all this pimperoo and telepone accesories....Or how about Scott Brown. Oh no, forgot that won't work, they want someone with clothes on. His greasy hairness would go good for a Bigfoot promotion.
