Palin declines to be a Weatherproof model

ALT TEXT

Weatherproof is removing an image of President Obama Wednesday. Sarah Palin has also declined to appear in an ad for the company. (Getty Images)

(CNN) - The outdoor brand Weatherproof is again out of luck as it searches for a high-profile face to lead its "A leader in style" ad theme.

The company first acquired the rights of an Associated Press photograph of President Obama sporting a black Weatherproof jacket during his trip to China last fall. But the company never asked permission from the White House to use the image, and when it appeared on a billboard in New York last month President Obama's aides demanded it be taken down.

The company agreed, hoping to replace the president's image with one of former Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, who has also been photographed in a Weatherproof jacket.

But Palin's attorney tells CNN her office has declined the brand's request.

No word on which famous pol the company may look to next.

CNN – why the infatuation with Sarah Palin? Just let her and her family get out of the limelight and back to their doublewide trailer trash living. Who cares?

Sarah should model, with her sexy self. That is the only thing I like about her. She can "pal around with models". She has nothing else going for her but her looks. She can come be conservative with me anytime!!!! Yeah, sister Sarah!

    What! Is she nuts?
    This is her true calling!
Let's face it, she really doesn't have much of a serious political career left. She should go for it. And then get a radio or TV talk show. Frankly I can't stand the woman, but she should at least go for the opportunities that will offer her the most success.

What a hoot – Weatherproof was willing to select a MODEL OF STUPIDITY aka Sarah Palin. Anything for money. I wouldn't buy anything that has their brand name on it. They are disgusting.

I think the thing to remember here
is the fact that Obama agreed to his
    billboard and later reconsidered.
You can bet there will be all kinds
of snide remarks about Palin being
approached. But no one bashed Obama.

I think Sarah Palin should accept an offer from Hugh Hefner to pose nude for the Playboy Magazine and her Approval rating will jump to 100 percent. Good Luck Sarah.
