(CNN) - The outdoor brand Weatherproof is again out of luck as it searches for a high-profile face to lead its "A leader in style" ad theme.
The company first acquired the rights of an Associated Press photograph of President Obama sporting a black Weatherproof jacket during his trip to China last fall. But the company never asked permission from the White House to use the image, and when it appeared on a billboard in New York last month President Obama's aides demanded it be taken down.
The company agreed, hoping to replace the president's image with one of former Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, who has also been photographed in a Weatherproof jacket.
But Palin's attorney tells CNN her office has declined the brand's request.
No word on which famous pol the company may look to next.

The ad looks good. Obama looks good in it. But I agree, that is not the place for the president's picture.
Luckily, Weatherproof has gotten free advertising via the news. I didn't know who they were and now I do.

When I saw the headline I assumed it was for a Hustler spread. That will be Palin's last shot at fame in about 5 years. I find it AMAZING that anyone feels that she is qualified to run the country!! Of course "W" had two runs (one elected and one stolen) and he was a coke snorting military deserter (which equals COWARD) and a religious zealot...
Good thing for "W" (and the Republican base in general) that Public Education is so poor in the USA, at least they stand a chance to win without getting their friends in the Supreme Court to steal the election (again..)

Sarah Palin is no longer the air-headed beauty queen she once was! Now, she is a learned, savvy, political animal, deserving of the presidency and far above her clothes horse, trailer trash background. This is a woman of substance, a woman of vision. Why, she can see Russia from her front porch! She reads all the magazines and newspapers! She knows that George Washington was a great American, and that he lived a long time ago!
How dare they ask her to pose in their clothes? She is already posing as someone with a brain!

Who is PALIN to be offered the billboard anyway??? This is ONE of the reasons why we cannot allow BUSINESSES to get involved with Campaigns and/or Politics.
Could you imagine WEATHERPROOF endorsing PALIN for PRESIDENT and they put her ASH on a POSTER – showing her drudging through deep snow in Alaska wearing a WEATHERPROOF jacket on top of a pair of SHORTIE SHORTS and the caption would read:
"VOTE SARAH PALIN FOR PRESIDENT BECAUSE SHE REALLY KNOWS HOW TO WEATHERPROOF!!!

Know others have to be aware and disgusted at CNN's negativity, bias towards the president and the Democratic Party. It is so obvious in their headlines, their so called polls, their shoving the Palins,
Cheneys, etc down our throats, their never fact checking, questioning the irresponsible, outrageous statements issued by anyone republican.
They truly are getting as bad as Fox, trying to hide behind their so called news you can trust. Even our Jack, who we once supported and respected has gone radically right.

I am glad because I don't really want to hear from her at all. Why must we hear from a left over that doesn't have enough understanding about policy and government to run the government?
I feel it would have been a good match for her as well as Weatherproof. Feel what you will about her and disagree with her politics if you must but admit she's attractive. Add to that the public relating her to the Alaska outdoors and it'd work great. Too bad.
