Palin declines to be a Weatherproof model

ALT TEXT

Weatherproof is removing an image of President Obama Wednesday. Sarah Palin has also declined to appear in an ad for the company. (Getty Images)

(CNN) - The outdoor brand Weatherproof is again out of luck as it searches for a high-profile face to lead its "A leader in style" ad theme.

The company first acquired the rights of an Associated Press photograph of President Obama sporting a black Weatherproof jacket during his trip to China last fall. But the company never asked permission from the White House to use the image, and when it appeared on a billboard in New York last month President Obama's aides demanded it be taken down.

The company agreed, hoping to replace the president's image with one of former Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, who has also been photographed in a Weatherproof jacket.

But Palin's attorney tells CNN her office has declined the brand's request.

No word on which famous pol the company may look to next.

Surprising she declined, as how she is SO hungry to stay in the limelight, with attention on herself. Her children's needs don't matter to her, as long as she gets media attention. She would be better at modeling than as a leader considering her understanding of geography and important issues. She is a pretty woman, so modeling might be her niche.

Oh darn, I was so looking forward to Sarah mud-wrestling in a Speedo for money. Maybe a company that makes low-end mobile homes might be interested? We could black out her teeth and have her say "Vote fer me...I'm just like YOU!"

CNN has to get those 4-5 Palin stories in every week.
Pathetic. Go report some real news.

Who cares. This is meaningless non-sense.

Those jackets are made in Thailand or somewhere is Asia anyway.

I must admit, I'm surprised. I thought Palin would do just about anything to make a buck.

Maybe they can get Pelosi or Reid.

That would scare away some customers. They both may be looking for some work (as will other democrat Senators and Congressmen) after the November elections.

Put Barney Frank up there. He can model Sarah's jacket. And her bathing suit too.

THIS IS HOW YOU FIX CONGRESS!!!!! I am sending this to virtually everybody on my e-mail list and that includes conservatives, liberals, and everybody in between. Even though we disagree on a number of issues, I count all of you as friends. My friend and neighbor wants to promote a "Congressional Reform Act of 2010". It would contain nine provisions, all of which would probably be strongly endorsed by those who drafted the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.. I know many of you will say, "this is impossible". Let me remind you, Congress has the lowest approval of any entity in Government, now is the time when Americans will join together to reform Congress – the entity that represents us. We need to get a Senator to introduce this bill in the US Senate and a Representative to introduce a similar bill in the US House. These people will become American hero's.. Thanks,A Fellow American*********************************** Congressional Reform Act of 20101. Term Limits: 12 years only, one of the possible options below.A. Two Six year Senate termsB. I gotta figure that the only reason that brain surgeon rejected this request was because they didn't offer her enough money. Afterall what else is she good for if not an empty head with a great cover? Call me Sarah, please!

Too bad Sarah won't pose. At least she would finally be contributing something useful. So, perhaps Levi Johnston might be game?

Shouldn't she be on the entertainment pages instead of politics? She's no longer a political figure.

Hard to believe she would turn down money. Her lust for money is well known, but maybe they did not offer enough and the name Weatherproof just does not suit her, when she can't even stand up to an interview unless she interviews herself, which is hardly weatherproof.

The reason Palin turned down Weatherproof's offer is because she wants to retain her trailer park trash image.

Maybe they can get Mark Sanford to have a photo taken hiking the Appalachian trail in a weatherproof jacket.

She doesn't own the jacket anymore. It was part of the props the RNC purchased for her.

Yes.., I remember the photo of former Governor and vice president candidate Sarah Palin wearing the jacket. Looked pretty good ! Don't really understand, why Sarah does not want to be in the ad. My God.., it basically covers her entire body. Whats up with that.. Seems like, no big deal to me. Mike in Montana

Palin is a stage struck fickle quitter,( i.e., beauty pageants, TV sportscaster, political stages, that church stage involving witchcraft, that book tour and now Fox News). She quits and then seeks a new stage where she can be seen AND open her mouth. Posing for pictures would allow her to be seen but would not allow her to open her mouth, so it was misguided to even think she would accept the offer.

Surely you jest. Show-Me-The-Money Sarah turned down $$$$$? Modeling is about the only thing she's qualified for–it requires no brains and no talking.
