Where was the outrage when Bush was doubling the deficit, not including wars in his budget, slipping dangerously close to tyranny, and giving away our treasures to his rich friends (and maybe some to him and Dick)? Where, I ask, was the outrage then?

And why don't they just drop all the pretenses and put on their white robes and hoods. These people are a disgrace to our country, as the rest of the world watches them try to destroy us from within, in disbelief. Sort of like the world saw the Nazis rise to power, huh? It's frighteningly similar in it's ignorance and hate. Tea Party, my arse! They're an insult to our original tea partiers.

The intial picture with the poster is factually correct. "Bankrupt America yes we can." I mean, these people are primarily conservatives and republican and they have nearly bankrupted us...

The last 3 budget surpluses in our nations history were under Democrats... and the last two major surges in the deficit were under Reagan and Bush lite...

Isnt it ironic that they are the ones that will bankrupt America and not the President. These stooges are bought and paid for by Dick Armey and his corporate henchman.Where were these chickenlittles when Bush and Cheney ran the bus off the road?

It is sad that the tea party followers do not realize they are being led, manipulated by radical right wing billionaires who most certainly do not support or want the betterment of middle class America.
And, for them to be silent during the diasters of the last eight years leaves one to wonder about their creditibility and intelligence.

The Tea Party represents a way of thinking that brought America to the brink! Gung-ho on starting wars for profit never mind the human and economic cost and there the government and spending cannot be big enough. But when it comes to the American people they have no ideas on how to bring the country into a prosperous future. So, they should stop sniping at the President who is doing a heck of a job considering the circumstances.

More empty fear and hatred from the Tea Baggers, enabled from the domestic terrorist Republican Party. The GOP is trying to get these idiots to do some of their dirty work, and that is to destroy this country.

These morons are a waste of human flesh, and most of them are on one form of SOCIAL PROGRAM or another.

Do they even know what planet they are on?

I initially had great hopes for the Tea Party movement, thinking perhaps it could serve the interests of many of us who desire fiscal discipline mixed with viable solutions to the problems we face as a nation.

Based on the comments coming out of this conference, though, they appear to be nothing more than another thinly veiled group of bigots who long for a nation where only white Christian men have a say and all others are unwelcome.

Sad – a squandered oppotunity to make a dfference.

why doesn't CNN report on the racist part of the tea party....the media seems to ignore it. I see a lot of racism is the signs and the words these people use....this is not all about policy....it's also about the president being black

Shame on CNN for giving attention to these racists. Since when it is newsworthy when a group of crazies congregates together to complain about something? I don't ever remember CNN covering a Klan meeting before...

I think the people that are involved in Tea Party movement should be ashamed of themselves. Number one they do not have respect for the presidency, there crude statement that the president is a socialist and comparing him to Hitler is not American. You want change , come up with ideas and not undermining our government and especially the highest office in the land. What they need to do is to change the ideology of there party to work for the people of this great country instead of spreading fear. It is the Republican party that put the country in a mess it is in and start accepting the mistakes your party inflicted in our economy. The Tea party movement is a party of fear that is running around the country spreading fear and blowing hot air that is not healthy to the country. The Republicans should beware about there Tea Party movement it might come back to bit them. Now that we here that Sara Palin will lead the party it will be the death of the movement. She could not even govern her own state, abandoned her office and trying to set herself for the 2012 elections is a joke. Fox news can have her because she fits the norm and the ideology the station presents to the public. Finally I like what I hear the inside squabbles that has been fuming among the Tea party members. Good politics is good policy. What the tea party is advocating is preaching dirty politics. God Bless our country.

What a bunch of losers. They don't even realize that the very things they're against are the things that would most benefit them. "We're poor, middle class but we want every advantage for the wealthy! Who cares if it makes things worse for us! Yes we can!"

For REAL support of the middle-class – Vote Progressive 2010!

It needs to be said yet again, where in were these idiots during the last eight years of – Unregulated- spending into oblivion ?

I think that there is more going on here than- budget concerns, like racism.

Most of these people can not stand the idea of a Black President , period.

If these yahoos are going to spout off they should at least try to gain an understanding of what got us to where we are and understand the consequences of doing what they propose. Anyone can say cut spending, but you need a plan with meat on the bones, all I have heard from them is hot air. Amen to this republican created, special interest financed group of unpatriotic anarchists, the republicans will be crucified in the next election for fostering the hatred that this group is promoting throughout the country.

If you so ain't government. Become pure and if you are paid through or by the government by contracts or subsides or you have a job due regulations; quit! And become an independent businessperson.

Those of you that did; won't have the time for these stupid rallies . You are whiners that all talk and very little effort.

The teabaggers love to say they are against taxes and are trying to "take our country back."

Given that they were silent when GW Bush – a White, supposed "Christian" like themselves – drove our economy into the ground, in part by cutting taxes on the wealthy during wartime, I can only conclude that what they REALLY don't like is that our country is being lead by someone who isn't White.

Just think of it: Obama's presidency shatters their belief that Black people are dumb, irresponsible and basically inferior.

Why, there might be other non-White people out there just as capable and intelligent as he is, working their way to places of power!

And then what will happen to us poor White folk?

You see, the teabaggers assume that non-Whites are as exclusive, mean, nasty and hateful of others as they are – and they believe that their teabagger fannies will be grass if they are ever in the "minority." And it scares the you-know-what out of them.

Tea Party = anarchism leading to dictatorship

It's incredible to think that so many people actually believe that re-creating the government that existed in 1776 can protect us from our enemies today.

But such is the Republican (aka Tea) Party.
