Palin blasts Democrats in Tea Party speech

Nashville, Tennessee (CNN) - Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin drew many standing ovations from a friendly crowd Saturday night as she blasted Washington Democrats and the Obama administration in a keynote speech for what was billed as the first national Tea Party Convention.

"It's so inspiring to see real people, not politicos, inside-the-beltway professionals, come out, stand up and speak out for common-sense conservative principles," Palin said.

Palin sought to hold Washington accountable as she took on a number of issues, including national security, the economy, and the recent election of Republican Scott Brown to the Massachusetts Senate seat left vacant by the late Ted Kennedy.

"America is ready for another revolution and you are a part of this," Palin said.

She called the Tea Party movement a "ground-up call to action that is forcing both parties to change the way they're doing business."

Common sense and "conservative" principles coming from some who quit on constituents and responsibilities as governor?

Sorry, but that's unbelievable irony, Ms. Palin...

I listened to her presentation broadcast on nearly every network. She was dead on. The anti-Palin basher's will have their fun but at the end of the day the tea party movement you are seeing will prevail and will be the determining factor in the 2010 and 2012 elections. If those that so vigorously bash this movement think that our Government and our Nation is in good working order and that they are truly represented by their elected officials, then all I can say is you just can't fix stupid. This is how ridiculous it has gotten, notes on her hands? Big deal, at least she didn't have to have a teleprompter for the entirety of her speech!

Sarah Palin did.nt ask to be the GOP vice president candidate they ask her, and being the grifter that she is she saw the chance to become rich and took it like any good grifter would.

Her Downs Syndrom son is probably a lot smarter than she is. I'm sure she will turn that into hate if she can.

I did watch every minute I could and it is very difficult to listen to her voice for any duration. I feel sorry for her as she is cleary an amateur and never had any credible resolve to any issue other then to pay up and join the Tea Party.Plain and simple she is a celebrity and nothing more. I thought she would have some credible solutions but there was nothing but a very broad statement of not wanting big Government and to cut spending which is nothing new and without credible solutions it was a pep rally to get more money out of followers and nothing more.It is very safe to say she would never hold high office.

Teaparty Mistake #1 – Having Sarah Palin "speak" (Hijack) the event for
    100,000 dollars.

If anyone thinks she will give it to the cause, I have a bridge in Alaska to
    sell ya.

With all her money, you'd think she could buy a decent wig to replace the one she wore last night (and at book signings). It is stiff and very ugly.

Sarah Palin has to cheat during a softball Q&A by writing talking points on her hand - like in Junior HIgh! - and CNN can't bother to cover it? Who else would get a pass on such a major gaffe?

INVESTIGATE, CNN, it would take about ten minutes of an intrern's time to have all the facts you need.

    Sarah Palin's incompetence is RELEVANT!

It was funny to see the looks on some of the tea partyer's faces while
Sarah Palin was speaking. Even they couldn't pretend that she was
making relevant sense. The event cleared out pretty fast after she was done.

Palin, out with others of her ilk....she's a quitter, a whiner and stupid beyond belief! Keep her in the news because it's good entertainment...LMAO!!!!!!!! And now that she's really pushing the Tea Party, it shows just how mean spirited and ugly she is from within......I am a Conservative but I refuse to become a nut job for any cause!

Wait until these tea baggers wakw up and find out this "new party" was just in it for the quick cash. Doesn't their FOR PROFIT status say anything about them? Come on....$115k to hear Palin speak? That alone is robbery!! LOL She's giving it back to the cause though and she's one of the leaders of "the cause".

Where was these so-called "tea partiers' when Bush was in office??? I'm sorry to say this but it seems that these people are a bunch of people hating that we have a African American president!!!! It's just so obvious!! Not a one African American in attendence...what does that say!! This "revolution" is all about people expressing their racism!!!

"She called on the administration to take note of the election results, saying "you better stop lecturing and start listening."

I'm sorry, but Sarah Palin is in no position to scold the President of the United States.

There is a significant number of independents in this country (who decide elections) who are impatient and unhappy that in one short year Obama hasn't cured all our problems. That is a flaw in them, not the citizenry at large. They don't seem to understand real change takes time. Nor do they seem to remember how bad the situation was when Obama took over a year ago, and how much it's improved now.

Of course it's hard for them to see with people like Limbaugh and Palin distorting reality for them on a daily basis.

Obama's policies will work. He's had a remarkably successful first year. Dems likely will lose seats this year, but that always happens to the party in power.

None of this equals a situation where a 'new' revolution will occur.

I so hope Ms. Palin runs as an independent as I read recently she may. She can lead her little (and I do mean little) flock right off the cliffs of insanity.

This women goes on National tv and mocks President Obama for using a teleprompter and yet has notes written on her hand so she can remember answers to pre-screened questions. Talk about hypocrisy. All the speeches were filled with hate. Just a bunch of bitter Republicans in disguise.
