Gibbs takes jab at Palin

Washington (CNN) - White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs made a dig at former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin Tuesday during the White House daily briefing.

"I wrote a few things down. I wrote eggs milk and bread, but I crossed out bread just so I can make pancakes for Ethan if it snows," Gibbs said showing the palm of his hand with notes written on it. "Then I wrote down hope and change just in case I forgot that."

Gibbs was apparently taking a jab at Palin who had notes written on her hand during a question and answer session at the Tea Party Convention Saturday night in Nashville, Tennessee.

It was later determined Palin had written the words "Energy," "Tax Cuts," and "Lift American Spirits" in her palm.

Gibbs, you forgot hope and change a long time ago, writing it on your hand isn't going to help...

At the bottom of Palin's palm it said "chew with your mouth closed."

Gibbs probably had his spelled correctly. That would be the big difference.

You're kidding me, right? His boss can't go anywhere without a teleprompter, even a sixth grade classroom, and he "zings" Palin for a few notes? Gibbs, and his boss, are the joke.

Gibbs is dispicable. Whether you like Palin or not, that is no way for a professional to act. You can tell that they are very nervous and concerned about what's going on in the country and the huge support the Tea Party movement is getting. Latest poll shows over 40% of americans support the Tea Party. Just about the same as support Obama.

Old Gibbs just might use that technique to keep his numerous and sometimes contradictory stories straight.

Hey Gibbs, maybe you should look at the MORON that's in the White House before you start making ignorant comments.

I find this guy's purpose in the WH hysterical. Rather than actually answer questions and make the WH's policy positions clear he spends most of his time sniping at reporters, insulting critics, and throwing administration staffers under the bus who've been tasked with floating trail balloons. Gibbs is a sad reflection of this entire administration.

I read the list of topics on Palins cheat sheet once right after the story broke and have not had any trouble remembering the items. Palin must have bad short term memory. Maybe her next keynote speech will be for NORML. Put that in your pipe and smoke it Palin.

Doesn't this funny guy realize that writing notes on your hand prevents reading corpes – man from the teleprompter?

Ohhhhh please!! At least she doesn't have to have to whole big teleprompter to reminder her what to say!

yeah, yeah. Ha ha. Isn't Palin beneath the administration commenting on her? I mean, I think she is even beneath ME commenting on her. The less we say the better.

Hey, I voted for Obama and don't agree with Sarah Palin, but writing down a few notes to keep her organized? This is a technique teachers teach kids, professors use, any CEO uses. Frankly, jotting down a few trigger words is less offensive to me, than, needing a teleprompter for every single syllable. Okay, the pen on hand is not the usual note-taking style, but who cares?

By mocking Ms. Palin for this minor issue, Gibbs makes white house look silly.

Stick to the issues, fellow Democrats...and if you need to, write the issues on your palm. No big deal.

Is she not the biggest ZERO of a person.? She can't remember three MAJOR talking points. She is the most politically unsophisticated candidate to EVER run. She makes Bush seem like a genius. I've never heard the woman utter a sentence that was coherent. She is as dumb as a box of rocks. Run Sarah Run, oh please run!! Obama... 4 more years!!!

Just doing what he can to divert attention away from the disaster we have in the White House now.

By the way, I haven't seen you guys cover the "Miss me yet" billboards in Minnesota.

What a bunch of juveniles. Her for taking a shot at Obama's teleprompter and every body else for worrying about her notes. It is no wonder nothing gets done. At least I can save my time and stay at home on election day going forward. Politics resembles a high school class more than serious people tryng to solve serious problems. How sad!

After criticizing Pres Obama for using a teleprompter, she deserves to be ridiculed for using crib notes on her hand! What an ameteur she is! What is this, 8th grade?!! She thinks she could be president? What a joke...when meeting with foreign leaders she would have notes written on her hand!

She had to note such basic concepts? I could see having notes with statistical data or a speech that was pre-written, but needing to 'remind' herself of her basic conservative principals should be a little worrisome to conservatives.
That said, Gibbs should have less childish things to do at the daily briefing.

LOL! Too funny. Palin is a total tart. People actually believe she'd be good to lead this country? She'd make GWB look like some kind of scholar.

How pathetic and unprofessional of this dufus...but you can't expect anything more from him....

The fact is that Palin needed a couple reminder points to ensure she hits all topics while BHO needs his entire speech written out for him to read....and pronounce the words as written corPseman....BHO even needs the teleprompter to address 20 6th graders.....how pathetic of both Gibbs and BHO!

Well at least she doesn't need a tele-promptor to give a speech, like some people do. In the words of the great bugs bunny, what a maroon what a mirage Obama is.
