Gibbs takes jab at Palin

Washington (CNN) – White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs made a dig at former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin Tuesday during the White House daily briefing.

"I wrote a few things down. I wrote eggs milk and bread, but I crossed out bread just so I can make pancakes for Ethan if it snows," Gibbs said showing the palm of his hand with notes written on it. "Then I wrote down hope and change just in case I forgot that."

Gibbs was apparently taking a jab at Palin who had notes written on her hand during a question and answer session at the Tea Party Convention Saturday night in Nashville, Tennessee.

It was later determined Palin had written the words "Energy," "Tax Cuts," and "Lift American Spirits" in her palm.

Should Gibbs set up a teleprompter for his next briefing? What a douche......

You can't really blame him; it is too easy. It is honestly like shooting the proverbial fish in a barrel.

Nothing wrong with useing a teleprompter. Ms. Palin set herself up for this critisim after she moments before made a jab @ the President for useing one. I guess you can say President Obama uses digital technology, and Ms. Palin uses analog technology.

oh this is going to really rub Palin's fur the wrong way.

It's ok for his boss to read every word uttered from a teleprompter, but not ok for Sarah Palin to write some notes on her hand? Let them go head to head in a debate and see who comes up on top. Maybe Joe Biden can give Obama some prior help?

Another pathetic jab at the right! Obama can't talk to a elementary classroom without a teleprompter and Palin is criticized for a couple of notes on her palm? Get real Gibbs!

To those of you bashing Obama for the use of a autocue (teleprompter):

    1. I'd love to see you memorize a speech.

    2. The Teleprompter has been around since the 1950's and has been used in film, TV, conferences, politics, and even interviews for documentaries. Republicans, Democrats, and independents use them.

    3. If he uses a teleprompter, you bash him, if he does not and he says something wrong or forgets a topic, you bash him. He can't win. I suppose that's the idea huh? Bash bash bash.

    4. Watch the video where he engages Republicans at their conference without teleprompters. If you think he's incapable of answering questions and even.. dare I say... kicking Repub butt without a teleprompter.. than you've missed the video.

Finally, the reason Palin is making news for having written notes on her hand is not "hand notes vs. Teleprompter". The issue is that she was supposed to shoot off the cuff and she was NOT supposed to know the questions prior to the interview. THAT is the problem. Furthermore, the Tea Party movement is known for it's straight shooting, off the cuff, non-bull crap politics. They say they want REAL American's with good conservative ideas who know exactly what they want but then you defend Palin who needs notes in order to answer questions she's already had time to prepare for.

It's time to throw it back at her. She's been zinging President Obama for as long as she has been on the scene, saying he pals around with terrorists, was only a comunity organizer, uses the tel-prompter and is a law professor. I wonder if she can take it. She quit the governor's job in Alaska because she couldn't take the heat. This woman is pathetic. I am ashamed for Americans who would even think of supporting someone of this caliber, a flunky and quitter for leading our country.

She deserves it. Another Repub. blaming everyone else for the things that they do. She talkes about the president's teleprompter like this is a bad thing. That is a tool that every president since Reagan has used when giving a speach. I haven't however seen any of them use a school age trick when sitting down to answer questions one on one. Then to be caught on video using it was way too funny. The Tea Baggers deserve her that are at about the same level. If she is so brilliant let her sit down with reporters unscripted and see how she does or better yet sit across for the president and give it her best shot.
Although "Are You Smater Than a 5th Grader" may be more her speed.

See, now thats some funny stuff, Gibbs is a horses butt, but thats funny.
It does amaze me how scared the current administration is of Palin, I dont know why because she isnt going to be president next term. But then again neither is Odumbo and Gibbs will be out of a job.
Maybe all that Palin is doing is trying to help her party in her own way and she does have a lot of followers that appriciate that.
Maybe the next president will hire her for press secretary............hummm maybe thats what Gibbs is afraid of. Naw.

It wasnt what a press secertary should be doing, but that is what Odumbo brought to the table when he was elected, goof offs.
Proud of your self Gibbs, for acting like a child.

    2010/2012 REAL Change is coming

Yeah but Gibbs really needs them he is such an idiot. How old is he anyway, maybe 20? At least Palin had something worthwhile written on her hand.

This guy has real class. President Obama needs to clean house. You're not in Illinois anymore, Mr. Gibbs. What a twit.

  17. Need a teleprompter

Maybe next Gibbs can make fun of people who need a teleprompter to speak to a 6th grade class. It is hard to make fun of one's boss though.

Great comeback Gibbs...hahaha. And why is this important you ask?

Hmmmm, maybe because it's important to know the person or candidate you're thinking of voting for may be, or in this case IS a complete idiot. She is a complete whack job.

The note being written on her hand isn't even the issue. All public speakers used this method at some point. The fact the notes were so basic is alarming. Let's face it, it's not like she had written a hard number or figure to remember, or even a date that some law went into affect. This was 3rd grade level notes, and she criticized the president for using a TeleprompTer??? Go figure.

She deserves every bit of zing she gets. All she did on her speech was to try to humiliate the President. Well i say she needs to stop giving dumb speeches. Or better yet stay off the tube.

There is nothing wrong with Palin's tactic. Does Robert Gibbs think that writing on one's hand is a sub-technological solution? Maybe he should take notes and clear his Blackberry, because he's one of the worst public speakers on record.

Imagine paying $550 to hear Palin demand truth in politics and see her caught, red-handed, defrauding the audience with a bogus question and answer session. Her straining to read her palm was as weird as when Bush strained to listen to the voices in his head from that audio prompter stuck in his ear when debating Gore. Even weirder, as she read that speech under her nose, ridiculing Obama for reading speeches, her audience ignored the hypocrisy and lies right under their nose. Notice how Gibbs points out that the words she wrote on her hand were not clever mnemonics to help recall large amounts of data but rather words to remind her of her major issues. She is so sad and her followers have no excuse for not seeing it.

Funny! Come on Teabaggers, admit it is funny... you found her joke about the president's tele promoter funny so I am sure you can find the irony in her writing notes in her palm – what a joke! At least the president speaks English – that's a good thing right? Maybe someone should recommend an adult class to Mrs. Pailin.

Gibbs and President Teleprompter aren't smart enough to make fun of Palin. Sarah is real. Gibbs and Teleprompter Man are just a couple of bait-and-switch, phonies.

Who needs a teleprompter to speak to elementary school kids? Why, Mr. Obama does. But that one escaped the liberal media and the intellectual elite's criticism didn't it?

I don't think that Gibbs or anyone in the Obama administration is in a position to take jabs at anyone. They are destroying the Democratic party in just one year!!!!!!!!!
