(CNN) – A political mystery of sorts in Minnesota may have been solved.
A billboard popped up north of Minneapolis on I-35 featuring former President George W. Bush's image next to the words "Miss Me Yet?" last December. But until Tuesday it wasn't known who paid for it.
While the identities of the sign owners are still unclear, the general manager of the advertising company who owns the billboard space told Minnesota Public Radio it was financed by "a group of small business owners who feel like Washington is against them."
"They wish to remain anonymous. They thought it was a fun way of getting out their message," said Mary Teske, of Schubert & Hoey Outdoor Advertising.
Schubert & Hoey did not return CNN's request for comment.

We miss him like we'd miss hemrrhoids! he was a terminal pain in the country's rear! anyone who misses him apparently thinks war, recession, shredding the constitution, allowing terror attacks, etc. are good things.
NOW THAT'S COMEDY!!!!!!!!!!!!, LOL!
The People In Minnesota Who Paid To Have This Billboard Displayed, And Then Choose Not To Want To Be Identified Are COWARDS!
I sure don't miss Mr. Bush......I'm quite happy w/ the hopey changey thing......

Have you ever seen so many people so against the sitting administration?
Yes. Take a look at Novermber 2008
What's funny is that Obama is continuing the majority of Bush's plans especially in foreign policy and handing out money to bankers. If Republicans were honest, they'd admitt this Obama guy is doing things they used to approve of. Then again, if Republicans were honest, they wouldn't be Republicans.
I miss GW Bush like the country misses Warren G. Harding.
In both cases, good riddance to bad rubbish. The two most corrupt and inept adminsitrations in the history of the US.
Only the criminals who profited under the Bush/Cheney regime (Halliburton, Bechtel, KBR, Blackwater) want these losers back. Oh yeah, and the Chinese, because that administration practically handed them our future.
That is just great, best laugh I have had all week, I think I'll go have a good cry now.....
No we don't. I wouldn't miss you Mr. Bush if a single celled amoeba was in office. Thx for the concern though
Those "small" business owners have enough extra money to pay for a stupid billboard. Apparently the Obama plan is working well for them.
and the answer is still NOOOOOOOOOOO!
WE MISS YOU W!
That's too funny!!!
NObama makes Bush look like Lincoln. We have a complete idiot in the white house right now.
Debby--your blue chips were swirling down the bowl before he left office..........o ye of short memory.......anyway.........
Really, they couldn't find a better way to spend their money with the economy being what it is?
stupid
No wonder so many small businesses fail. If they're owned by people who think Bush's 40% decline in the value of the dollar didn't amount to the same thing as a 40% tax increase, I'm shocked their businesses would last more than 6 months.
Not to mention, we Americans were quite fond of our Constitution before Herr Bush destroyed it.
Political ineptness and intellectual ignorance always look cuter once the person leaves office. Remember Dan Quayle?
DUBYA: We don;t have to miss you....when we look at the economic mess we are in that Obama INHERITED.....we remember you...yes we do.
With all due respect...don't miss him and never will. If the people that put the $ together for this don't want to be made public I could understand cause under his administration, anytime you complained about the government, you were considered un-patriotic. I would not have missed him 8 years ago...and would not have missed the 2 wars he started and would not have missed the no child left behind (also known as no child left a dime) I would not miss the incredible debt he and all of the politicians let build up during his 8 years, or all the money he spent. I would not miss him showing up all too late after hurricane Katrina and certainly would not miss him in his pretend flight suit standing under the "Mission Accomplished" Banner. Keep it in mind...he had 8 years and look what he left. Give the current president the same amount of time and I'm sure we'll be better off in 7 years. Just as I'm thru paying for my kid's college tuitions
and the answer? HELL NO, YOU FASCIST PIG.
Oh please. Anyone who misses the fool who got us into our current mess is a complete foll themselves. It's like saying you miss a stomach ache.
NOW THAT'S COMEDY!!!!!!!!!, LOL
Miss Dubya? Yeah, like I miss the plague . . .
Not on your life do I miss that imbecile...
Absolutely not, don't miss you at all.
Those who put there money into this silly sign need some kind of therapy.
This is a joke, right?
George, we certainly can't forget you. You left us with a huge deficit, two illegal wars, economy in shreds, gutted government agencies, a country fast slipping into an abyss. How could we forget you. But we don't miss you and we are glad you are gone.
