(CNN) – Dan Quayle's son is running for Congress.
Ben Quayle announced Friday that he will seek the Arizona House seat being vacated by retiring Rep. John Shadegg.
"My generation is going to have to clean up the mess made by the politicians in Washington," Quayle said in a statement. "The reckless spending and crushing debt burden must be stopped."
According to the statement put out by a spokesman, the younger Quayle is managing director of Tynwald Capital, "a firm specializing in the acquisition and nurturing of small business."

If this Quayle is as stupid as his father, he should stay home. He'll make things worse.
Bravo Ben!
Another Quayle in Washington? This ought to be good. He'll certainly pull some of those former SNL folks out of retirement.
Dad never pronounced the "p" in Corpsmen!
What's next, Sarah Palin's kids?
"My generation is going to have to clean up the mess made by the REPUBLICAN'T politicians in Washington."
Quale went on to say "and we can do it by giving income tax cuts to all Americans making over $250K a year and raising income tax rates on the working middle class"..
Shame, shame on Arizona if we elect yet another cowboy hat wearin', gun toten', bible thumpin', obstructionist right-wing whacko named Quale to the US House...
I wonder if he can speak Latin? hahaha....what a clown Dan Quayle was!
Another member of the American royality class has raised their head.
This is exactly one of the problems the founding fathers wanted to prevent from happening. They didn't want professional politcians or a ruling class for this nation. They wanted ordinary folks running the country.
Sara makes Quayle look like a genius.
Oh goody . . . another Raging Republican who knows the current buzz word . . . . "reckless spending"! Just a question though: A firm that specializes in the "acquisition and nurturing of small business"? When a firm buys up small business, that's called corporate take-over!
Lets just hope he can spell Potato.
"The reckless spending and crushing debt burden must be stopped."
--------
Looks like he got the Republican Talking Point Memo.
Another in a long line of GOP idiots: Reagan, Bush, Qualye, Palin, Dole, Gingrich, and on and on and on...............
How about a Palin-Quayle ticket for 2012?! LOL
Quayle, Palin? Now there is one hell of a team.
Sounds like Quail laid an egg or a potatio.
He looks a bit smarter than his southerncousin from Louisaner
The razor blade which cut your daddy, is going to do the same to you boy!!!
Please...... just what we need, another political dynasty.
Maybe he can pronounce "corpsman" correctly, unlike Obama, the Commander in Chief.
Why is it wrong to have to have graduated from high school, and have some college/experience under your belt. What is this new thing where you can be the "average joe" and run for president. This is America dammit, you've got to be educated to run this nation. You cant just go running for president because you ran a state in the tundra for 2 years!!! You've got to have some special sauce, we have 3 wars going on, China's getting stronger, and Iran is is bragging about its nuclear capabilities. I dont want the average joe running this country. i want SUPERMAN/WOMAN!!!!
Heree we go a new target for the left. You can laugh, joke andmake fun all you want but the truth is...Palin and Quale made some mistakes and aren't perfect people. But they are far more accomplished than you morons.
uhbama makes Ben look like a Rhodes Scholar.
As long as he doesn't run as a democrat, he's a winner. Anyone who wants to hold office in November simply has to run as anything other than a dem and it's a lock. (Probably won't even have to campaign all that much).
Unless he's adopted, I'm not holding my breath that Quayle the Younger has any gray matter between his ears.
