Palin: Tea Partiers need to pick a party

Sarah Palin spoke at a Arkansas fundraising event Tuesday.

(CNN) - Tea Party favorite Sarah Palin took a practical approach to this grassroots political movement Tuesday, telling Arkansas Republicans that Tea Party candidates will not win unless they join an established political party.

"Now the smart thing will be for independents who are such a part of this Tea Party movement to, I guess, kind of start picking a party," Palin said at an Arkansas GOP fundraising event Tuesday, according to CBS News.

"Which party reflects how that smaller, smarter government steps to be taken? Which party will best fit you? And then because the Tea Party movement is not a party, and we have a two-party system, they're going to have to pick a party and run one or the other: 'R' or 'D'."

The comments come 10 days after Palin addressed the so-called first ever Tea Party Convention in Nashville, where she praised the decentralized movement as consisting of "real people, not politicos, inside-the-beltway professionals."

"America is ready for another revolution and you are a part of this," Palin said at the Nashville speech.

Palin is missing the point. The reason for the existance of the Team Parties is that Neither party is acceptable. Neither party actually addresses the issues with anything more than lying rhetoric.

And we already know, all too well, who the Tea Party MORONS are going to side with – The HUGE Corporations, GREEDY HealthCare Insurance CEO"s, Wall St. 'Fat-Cats' and Lobbyists. Instead of siding with the party that is primarily focused on living up to the American people's expectations, the Tea Party is solely looking to side with the Grand Ol' PLUNDERERS (GOP).

So let me get this straight... A potential upstart third-party holds a convention and essentially annoints Sarah Palin the leader of that third-party. She then goes and tells said third-party that, to be successful, the members of that third-party need to commit themselves to one of the existing two parties. Hmmm. I guess that's just Palin being Palin.

Sarah Palin is as smart and savvy as politicians come; she's identified with a new wave in American politics like no other "establishment" politician. The right (GOP) better make good use of her; the pathetic losers of the left, and the Palin hating morons, will become the dust of history.
