(CNN) - Tea Party favorite Sarah Palin took a practical approach to this grassroots political movement Tuesday, telling Arkansas Republicans that Tea Party candidates will not win unless they join an established political party.
"Now the smart thing will be for independents who are such a part of this Tea Party movement to, I guess, kind of start picking a party," Palin said at an Arkansas GOP fundraising event Tuesday, according to CBS News.
"Which party reflects how that smaller, smarter government steps to be taken? Which party will best fit you? And then because the Tea Party movement is not a party, and we have a two-party system, they're going to have to pick a party and run one or the other: 'R' or 'D'."
The comments come 10 days after Palin addressed the so-called first ever Tea Party Convention in Nashville, where she praised the decentralized movement as consisting of "real people, not politicos, inside-the-beltway professionals."
"America is ready for another revolution and you are a part of this," Palin said at the Nashville speech.

Palin and her bosses at Fox News are trying desperately to control the Tea Party anger and funnel it into votes for Republicans. The problem is that Republicans are the ones who created the conditions that led to all of this anger in the first place. It's clear now that Palin is just a huge fraud who is working for the GOP to keep anything from really changing.

From what I have learned at the local level, the Tea Party will evaluate each candidate to determine how they stand vs the Tea Party core values. If the candidate meets the standards then they will receive Tea Party backing and votes. So Palin has "sort of" not completely understood exactly what is going on here.
Did she say two party system, like there are only two political parties allowed to compete? Why do her handlers allow her to open her mouth? How can someone prove every day that they are extremely ignorant and still remain a celebrity and perhaps a political candidate for president in this country? I'm baffled as to why people even pay attention to her. Talk about dumber than dirt!!

A new party is needed. The two existing parties are really a single party giving the perception of two parties to execute the puppet master's plan. True patriots will vote for the best candidate, not the lesser of two evils in hopes pf voting for a winner. It's time to impact the two party system.

After seeing the poll results on who is in the tea party, there really is no chance they'll pick the big 'D' on the ballot. This really is a thinly veiled requested to stay inside the party and the status quo.

Sarah Palin is screwing up this country. I am a libertarian and I would like to nothing more than the two party system brought down. Vote for what you believe in and not for the lesser of two evils. Sure it may take a few years for another party to get established before it can get the majority of votes, but Sarah Palin wants you to vote for a republican becuase it is closest to what she believes. Didn't she learn from McCain/ Palin 2008.
