Rep. Steve King, R-Iowa, fired up the crowd at the Conservative Political Action Conference Friday morning, declaring President Obama has 'lost his mojo.'

(CNN) – Rep. Steve King, R-Iowa, fired up the crowd at the Conservative Political Action Conference Friday morning, declaring President Obama has "lost his mojo."

"He had more mojo than any president that I remember when he was inaugurated a year and a month ago. But now, the master-mesmerizer has lost his mojo," King said to rousing applause. "And if we stand our ground as constitutional conservatives, he's not going to get it back."

King spent much of his fiery speech attacking Obama's efforts at health care as well as Democratic cap-and-trade proposals. On cap-and-trade, King suggested the recent snowfall across the country is the latest reason to doubt those who warn about climate change.

"The liberals, the environmentalists, the extremists, the Al Gores of the world were wrong on the science. Today, we know it," King said. "Sorry Al. But I have got a scoop shovel for you if you want to come anywhere in the 50 states in America. For the first time in the history of keeping records, there is snowfall on the ground in all 50 states. It's tough to make an argument when the evidence is all around us with a snowy white wonder in a crystal cathedral."

So this is who we want to lead the country? This is ignorance.....plain and simple. He mentioned Science...was this the same Science that was silenced and red-lined when Bush and Cheney were in office. Do you even take the time to read the Science that has been out of years and researched over and over. It is about climate change which includes the warming of the earth. The excess in toxic chemicals in our environment produce extremes in the weather as we are seeing, floods, earthquakes, severe storms, melting glaciers. Pull your head out of the sand, put on your big boy pants and face what is happening instead of throwing pithy one-liners.

Wow, another ignorant politician who doesn't understand that global warming actually manifsts itself as global climate change. All of which means that in many areas, winters will get snowier and summers will get more hot. As for his stand on reforming the health insurance industry... well, when he gives up his taxpayer-funded, government-run, benefit-laden healthcare plan and goes out and purchases insurance on his own (as a small business owner I can tell you that the only affordable coverage is pretty terrible), well then maybe I'll care about his opinion.

King needs to read some facts instead of listening to the fairy tales from FOX.

Global Warming is not a weather report.

The bodies of water on the earth are warming - more evaporation, more snow when it snows, more rain when it rains, etc.

Was he educated in one of Bush's "no child left behind" schools that feeds "lie often enough and the other idiots will finally believe it"?

This guy is a complete moron. Just because there's snow on the ground, in the WINTER, does not negate the fact that the temperature of the whole planet has significantly increased over the last few decades, the polar ice sheet is melting at an unprecedented rate, and most of the world's scientists agree that much of this is caused by human industrialization! The fact that he lumps environmentalists and liberals in with extremists shows how narrow minded and ignorant he is. I realize he is only trying to appeal to his uneducated, ill informed base, who don't care to listen to the fact that the scientists who have warned of global warming have consistently said that does not mean less snow in winter, but more chaotic and extreme weather all year long. Do we really need more politicians like this poor excuse of a representative to continue to destroy our planet?

"The liberals, the environmentalists, the extremists, the Al Gores of the world were wrong on the science. Today, we know it," King said.

Really? What scientific evidence is Mr. King basing this statement on, or is he just relying on a gut feeling that global warming does not exist? So even though a vast majority of the scientific community, after studying a preponderance of evidence over years, came to the conclusion that global warming is indeed a real threat to the Earth, this guy knows better and won't be fooled by them! If he's referring to all the snow the US is having, that was predicted by the SCIENTIFIC model that was developed to track climate change. As the Earth gets warmer, more water is drawn into the atmosphere, thereby resulting in increased snowfall. If all the doubters would take the time to read they may learn something.

What Mojo???? Mojo is in the eye of the beholder......I do believe that we need to take care of the planet we live on.....for our own sake. Polluting the air we breath and the water we drink are absolutely stupid things to do.

The Republicans think if they pretend its not there, it will go away, but it won’t! “IT” is the record they have for being loyal to corporations at the expense of the middle class. The tallest buildings, fastest trains and wind turbines are not built here, and every civilized nation has universal health care but us. This mess did not happen since Obama was elected. Obama was elected because this mess happened. This transfer of wealth from America’s middle class to the global corporate economy occurred with the help of global corporate loyalist in our government (Republicans) who de-policed Wall Street and support the Supreme Courts rule that global corporations can use unlimited bribes to influence elections and lawmaking. What Republicans don’t get is that they are Obamsa’s magic charm.

Democrats: grow some balls. Be as ruthless as the Republicans with the FACTS. You have the facts on your side. America is behind you and your cause.
Republicans: You are obviously scared of Obama. Never have I seen a first year presidency cause so much hoopla. Is it racial? Thats the only conclusion I can come to. Because even policies you guys supported in the past, you are now against ( Stimulus, Health Care, Jobs, etc etc).

I'm tried of the bickering and name calling. Democrats push your policies through with Reconciliation just like the Republicans did the last 8 years. You have to employ the same process, that got us in this mess, to get us out of it.

these are the kind of people that scare me. global climate change doesn't mean NO MORE SNOW EVER. it means wide spread changes in global weather patterns (ie: SNOW IN THE SOUTH) as we saw these last two weeks. and these people are supposed to represent us when they apparently can't comprehend simple facts. it's disgusting.

Another idiot that thinks one snow storm means that climate change is not real. I put this guy in the same category as Glenn Beck. Hey Glenn here is another person who believes that one snow storm means no climate change...and you said no one way saying that, even though you said it many times on your TV show. Forget that 2009 was the 2nd warmest year on record, one snow storm in Feb. means no climate change...NOT! Idoits.

This old fart is a disgrace to humanity. He knows the truth about global warming but he denies it so his sheep followers can vote for him. All rethuglicans know the truth but refuse to use it, instead they lied so their sheep followers can be happy.

The earth is warming up: ocean temperature rising, ice melting in north antartica. Thats global warming. Due to global warming the climate changes because of the ocean temperature. You old farts are like the old europeans who didn't believed the planet was round or that the sun revolved around the earth. Either they smart by knowing the truth and use lies to control their sheep or they are stupid by not believing in science but tout healthcare technology, use cell phones, use computers. Either way they are bad for America!

Climate change = extreme weather patterns.

Obviously, King and all the other GOP chickenhawks have no
    idea what science means.

For those of you foolish enough to believe this and other idiots
in the GOP and talk radio, you get what you deserve!

What fools. The model also includes incidents of extreme weather as we ramp along. I thought being conservative meant to choose to err on the side of caution. The fringe benefit of most cap and trade is less dependence on foreign oil and potential for wars in the middle east (where we spend any gains from not implementing cap and trade).

    Right,...........
And health care reform with kill grandma.
These are the same type of idiots who used to claim that it was impossible to pollute the ocean,...it was to big.
The same idiots that claimed air pollution would always be just a local problem.
The fact we have weather that is setting all time records should re-enforce the notion of "Global Climate Change".
King is just another of the GOP talking heads with the same old motra.
They are all ostriches,...heads in the sand and they expect you to follow them.
Wonder how much the special intrests are pouring into his war chest?

I've lived in coal country all my life. It's not the republican lawmakers that stand behind the coal workers especially if the workers are union. It's not the republican lawmakers that have fought for black lung and retiree benefits and it.s not the republicans that stand behind the United Mine Workers of America. It will also be a cold day in hell when you see a republican lawmaker stand with the mine workers on a picket line.

I think what the global warming deniers are missing is a sense of scale. Yes, there is snow all over America. But our country's total surface area is only 9.7 million square kilometers, and the Earth boasts a total surface area of 510 million square kilometers. Put another way, the USA constitutes less than 2% of the planet's surface. Extrapolation is a poor model for climatology, people!

Why listen to these people? They're in denial about all of the problems facing this great nation. They are entitled to their own opinions, but they are not entitled to their own facts. I'd rather eat broken glass than listen to any more of the Repugnantcan party's false rhetoric. You have to assume the opposite of anything they say. I will always vote, but never again for a Republican. They are liars who are determined to destroy this country.

Now let me be very clear, the time is now, this has gone on for far to long. We have grown old of the same old washington poltics and obamas same old speach with no change except for the venue. this is why his mojo has been lost maybe his ego will leave the building next and something can finally get done. and this is not because of the NO in washington. its because of bad leadership in all branches
