Washington (CNN) – Thursday's health care summit at Blair House was billed as an opportunity for members of both parties to share their proposals for reform, but one party had far more time to put forth their ideas.
A CNN analysis of the meeting shows that Democrats - including President Obama, who helmed the meeting - were granted more than twice the amount of speaking time as Republicans.
Democrats spoke for a total of 135 minutes while President Obama spoke for 122 minutes, for a total of 257 minutes. Republicans, meanwhile, spoke for just 111 minutes, about 30 percent of the total speaking time.
The time discrepancy did not go unnoticed by the top Republican in the Senate.
Shortly after President Obama, Vice President Biden and legislators from both parties returned from a lunch break, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell's office released a statement detailing how long President Obama had the floor, versus how much time members of each party were allotted during the nearly three-hour morning session.
Not including the hour that the politicians broke for lunch, the meeting lasted for more than six hours.

Of course they dominated and that is not counting the time the president spent repeating his lies. This was a set up. Now lets hope Obozo and his coterie of idiots go ahead and try to use the "nuclear option." The liberals will be such easy pickings in November and maybe, just maybe real democrats can get their party back.
It doesnt take long to say no, even if you say it repeatedly.
This is because he cant keep his mouth shut for 5 minutes...He thinks he is gods gift to the world..
There should no longer be any doubt the GOP has decided to become the party od NO. Who counts minutes in a meeting and then Makes an issue of it. McConnell acts like a second grader. LOL
I am embarrased to say that I am a registered Democrat. As of tomorrow I am changing my political affiliation.
The Republicans are only interested in scoring political points as evidenced by McSame's complaining. They have no interest in passing a healthcare bill.
The Republicans lost the last election but they act like they won and that they are the ones setting the agenda. I have news for them; they lost! The Democrats have gone out of their way to include Republican ideas into legislation only to have the Republicans then unanimously vote against the bill they helped create.
The Republicans think this strategy will help them win seats in Congress but I'm afraid the strategy will backfire. The Republican obstructionists deserve to be voted out of office.
It's not like the Republicans had much to talk about... where's their plan?
You have got to be kidding me!!!!!
This is so childish. Everyone had time to get their points across...I watched.....It's no wonder nothing gets done...when this is what comes out of 6+ hours of debate....give me a break and grow up!
Health Summit......This was Obama's dog and phony show..alot
of talking and lies as usual.
Obama is out of touch with the American voter.
Hey Republicans, the speaking time discrepancy? It's called the results of the elections. You lost huge in the elections, and have proven since then that you are very very sore losers, obstructing the business of the US Senate by filibustering everything. This is proven by the 209 bills that have piled up on your Inbox, of bills passed by the House, awaiting a response by the Senate.
Either prove yourselves to be more than political partisan hacks, who serve only your own self interests and corporate interests, or go away, and let the grown-ups right the course of our great country.
In other words: You can't lead, you've shown you can't follow, so get out of the way.
nothing but political theater with a bunch of awful actors.
