Boehner imagines being Speaker

John Boehner, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid all answered questions posed by YouTube users Friday.

Washington (CNN) - In his speech to the Conservative Political Action Conference last week, House Minority Leader John Boehner asked the crowd to imagine what Congress would look like if he became Speaker of the House - a prospect that has become more likely as the political environment sours for Democrats.

A confident-sounding Boehner continued to float that possibility on Thursday after the bipartisan health care summit with President Obama in a post-meeting question and answer session with YouTube users. Video of his chat which was posted Friday morning.

"If I become Speaker of the House, we are going to run the House differently, different from the current majority and from past Republican ones," he promised, answering a question from a YouTube user who demanded that legislators read lengthy bills before voting on them.

"And if I become Speaker there will be a 72 hour reading period before any bill is brought to the floor," the Ohio Republican added, repeating a pledge he made at CPAC.

"We don't need these really big bills," he said. "We can keep these bills smaller, more targeted, so that people actually can read them and understand what they are voting on before they come to the floor."

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi also sat down for interviews with YouTube users after the health care summit.

Please, not him. If the Republicans take over, at least let it be Cantor who's vocabulary contains more words than a few select "talking points". He would be as bad as Pelosi from the other side of the aisle.

Legislation is complicated, if you can't understand it because it is too lengthy or too complicated or your eyes tire easily – then perhaps you are not qualified to legislate the laws of the United States. Maybe we should have a public vetting process on qualifications prior to the popularity contest election.

Boehner – you are an idiot! Along with the entire GOP! And along with ALL the democrats! You all claim to know what is hurting America, give me a break! You ALL see it from the stands and have no idea.

The government is broken – not because of the original prinicples and ideals that it stands for – but how two parties have taken those items and skewed them fit thier own personal interest and agendas. It is the elected officials that have screwed it up, behaving no more mature than a bunch of grade-school kids! No offense grade schoolers!

An ol' sea captain once told me something about Pelosi. It goes something like this: "And you know the thing about Pelosi, she's got lifeless eyes. Black eyes. Like a doll's eyes. When she comes at ya, doesn't seem to be living. Until she bites ya, and those black eyes roll over white and then, ah then you hear that terrible high-pitched screamin."

I hope it happens that Republicans take control of the congress at least. It is time to replace that idiot pelosi who shows her stupidity every time she is in front of a camera. And you liberal bed wetting panty wearing liberals make fun of Governor Palin.

Either House Minority Leader John Boehner is smoking some bad stuff or he has spent to much time under the lights of the tanning bed. If we put the same crooks back in there, the only thing that will change would be the names on the doors.

We need to turn over the House and Senate to a fresh bunch of crooks and give the House members a 3 term (6 years) and Senators 2 term (12 years) limit.

Boner can only stimulate the fantasies of his bonehead, racist base. That said, the remainder of citizenry that has some semblance of intelligence, need to put aside their prejudices and vote for self-interest and support the Prez.

I would think that he is the least qualified republican. He brings a nice orange glow (probably from talking about the nuclear option), but nothing more. Yesterday, he was out of his element in the health summit, and seemed unaware of what was going on. But in America, anything is possible, as we elected Bush twice.

How would he even fit that in around his tanning schedule? The man looks like an orange.

All John Boehner can do is whine, parrot political talking points, and he couldn't come up with an original idea if his life depended on it. Perhaps if he were to have someone help him with the big words in these bills, he would have an easier time. The last thing this country needs is a Speaker of the House, regardless of party, who makes George W. Bush look smart. Give me a break. The guy is an idiot.

Unlike many of Mr. Boehner's fellow politicians, he is well spoken and
speaks with clarity. On the other hand we have MS Pelosi of which I am not impressed with at all.

I'm hoping the people vote him completely out of Washington. I would hate to see him and his side kick Eric Cantor running things. They remind me of McCain with Lieberman and Graham. It's as if they are joined at the hip. Boehner glares at Obama with hatred on his face. He makes no bones about the fact that he hates Obama and all Dems. All he ever does is tell the people to give the power back to the Republicans. What for? So they can finish running our country into the ground. No, thank you!!!

If God forbid, this man becomes speaker of the House, he will be presiding over the death of this country. His party nearly ruined it during the bush regime and if the American people are stupid enough to give them another crack at it, they will surely finish the job! republicans cannot govern! they have proven this time and again. how many times to we have to be taught this lesson before it sinks in???

He looks and sounds so full of himself. He will never help the people of the US except rich folk. He will run the House to suit his own personal needs, that's for sure.

I think we all remember how the republicans ran the house under Hastert. It is not a pretty picture. But what the heck, Boner can share his dreams (America's nightmare) with the right wingnuts.

Boehner lies. If he were speaker, the house would be a club that he would use to beat up on Obama, and further destroy government so that he can point and say "See? everything is ineffectual and broken!"

GOP control of congress was highly effective in building huge deficits, ruining the economy, trashing the environment, and shrinking the middle class.

Neo-conservatisim is thought cancer that uses double speak to convince the people to vote against their best interests. Please think and don't believe the lies.

With Dems in jeopardy of getting trounced in the mid-term elections, it seems inevitable that Boehner will becomd Speaker of the House.
