Washington (CNN) – President Obama tersely reminded Sen. John McCain Thursday during the White House health care summit that, "We're not campaigning anymore. The election is over."
The president was referring to the 2008 presidential race, but McCain still has a Senate campaign to deal with back in Arizona. And on Friday, his re-election campaign released yet another radio spot, this time enlisting his fellow Arizona Sen. Jon Kyl to promote McCain's "conservative principles."
Kyl narrates the 30-second ad and tell listeners: "Arizona could have no stronger advocate than John. He's with me every step of the way in fighting for conservative principles in Washington."
McCain is facing a challenge on his right flank from former Rep. J.D. Hayworth in the Republican primary.
People who criticized Pelosi does not know any thing except watching Fox news.
which speaker has passed 290 bill in this congress.
Democrats are civilized and considerate to pass the bill with bipartisanship and 60 votes, though other party is just interested in failing this president.
So before you criticize Pelosi think about it that she is working for stupid Middle class Independent voters.
mcklame needs to retire, hang out in rotation among those manshions his hottie wife own, and spend his time pleasuring his sugar momma. He looked like a real A#1 tool yesterday at the health summit.
Please people of AZ. do not reelect this guy. Please.
This old man needs to go. why cant they find a good republican or democrat to go up against him. Doesn't matter which..Just someone with new ideas and cares about the country. Mcain no longer is credible and the one going up against him sounds awful. Term Limits Please...
I just hope one of them will explain why Republicans hate people so much.
If anyone did the slightest bit of research, one would find that while Mr. Anti-Pork McCain spout his rhetoric about no pork, his BFF Kyl has no problem with pork requests. It's like a good cop bad cop game they play. Kyl does the dirty work, and McCain can quietly take credit for it.
It is no surprise that one of the biggest failures o9f the Greedy Old Pigs party would resort to another idiot to try and win an election, idiots tend to stick together, case in Point Sarah Make Up with No Brains and stupidity go hand in hand.
Sorry, liberal Johnny. My vote is going for the REAL conservative in this race. (Hint: that ain't you, RINO-boy.)
Note to Jon Kyl: stop supporting liberal RINOs. It's ruining your conservative credentials. Seriously.
It was the best moment of the meeting. I laughed and laughed. His return comment shows that his loss has haunted him daily to this day.
time to put old thinkers like macaian out to pasture
Get rid of all Senators! The House has passed over 100 bills that are still setting in the Senate. They (the Senate) contribute nothing to help the American people.
The President embarrassed himself and show disrespect with that comment. NOBODY body mentioned campaigning or being elected. rSad!
McCain rudely interrupted the President while he was speaking and deserved every bit of what the President stated to him. McCain has become the court jester of Republican Party. Furthermore, he does not listen to what his constituents–and, yes, I am one who voices my concerns to both him and Kyl–are saying about healthcare or the way that he and other GOP'ers have become obstructionists to governing–the job we hired them for. Finally, Kyl, has basically been McCain's "hand puppet" for years, so why this new ad is considered news I do not know.
Let's get rid of McCain. It's time to clean up the corruption. Too much war, torture and illegal immigration.
McCain voted for NAFTA, bailouts,rendition,Amnesty...etc
Time for him to go
every time i see j.m. i can't help but think about the frank sinatra film 'manchurian candidate', j.m appears to me to be the victim of brainwashing...i feel somewhat guilty that i feel no shame or remorse praying for his defeat in arizona...
while i'm at it: everyone knows (with few exceptiond) our politicians are owned by corporate structures...look at the 2 L's from connecticut, new jersey & the minority leader mr. b (to name the most obvious, but rest assured most elected officials have sold out)...they have no shame...why hasn't someone looked into their net worth, etc. surely evidence could be found to corroborate their prostituted state of mind?
i'm embarassed, how about you???
Just great! One loser backing another loser!
I do not understand why conservative republicans cling to their failed policies ... and demand "purity" over intelligence, common sense and the goal of doing what is best for the average American. Wish McCain had been the candidate in 2000 and the President when 911 happened. The USA would be in a much better place now.
Conservatives, if elected, can't lead, can't govern: right now they would rather save money than extend unemployment benefits for 10% of the American population... now if this money was earmarked for war ... there would be "plenty" ...
Just one Republican hypocrite endorsing another!
ON MY GOD. Why can't we just STOP with all this back and forth BS. It's not good! We HAVE to come together as a nation – we're about doomed as it is.
IS THIS WHAT YOU WANT? A nation so divided we start killing each other and/or ourselves? Because that's what's starting to happen.
my side said this
your side said that
You all sound like 8 year olds – all of you! Politicians, blog posters, newspapers, media outlets – EVERYONE.
Apparently Jon Kyl does not know McCain corrupted relationship with Keating....
Another crook endorses the old crook who is a liar, cheater and straight theft express.
