Pawlenty headed back to Iowa

Tim Pawlenty will return to Iowa in April.
Tim Pawlenty will return to Iowa in April.

Washington (CNN) - Tim Pawlenty's shadow presidential campaign continues.

The Minnesota governor will return to Iowa on April 17 as the keynote speaker at the "2010 Iowa Taxpayers' Day," a Des Moines event put on by Iowans for Tax Relief.

Iowa's Republican gubernatorial candidates will also be at the event.

It's Pawlenty's second trip to Iowa as a potential 2012 candidate; he spoke at an Iowa Republican Party event in Des Moines last November.

  1. If I was crazy, I'd be a conservative too

Since most right wingnuts have difficulty reading, I will write this slow. The former president created to two largest socialist programs in modern days with his unfunded drug program and his bank bailout. As we recall, Bush was a self proclaimed 'compassionate conservative.' One does get tired of the same old crap attacking our current president from the right wingnuts and conservative dolts.

This guy is ripping off the taxpayers in Minnesota. He should spend some time at home earning his paycheck.

Did you crazy right wingnuts know that the senate passed their version of health reform with 60 votes? It has passed. The only thing left are the three amendments from the house which can be passed in the senate with 50 votes and Biden breaking the tie.

Tim Pawlenty is a farce, speaking as a citizen of Minnesota, where he is supposed to be the governor. He is bankrupting our state, our education system, our integrity, and most of us in the state want him GONE but to DC it would be a disaster.
He is out for himself, as he has shown in more occassions, and doesn't care about the regular folk, no matter what he says in his campaign speeches to others.
Check out Minnesota media coverage if you don't believe me.
    Thankyou.

Excuse me, both isn't his State in a heap of trouble? What is he doing going to Iowa? It's amazing how all these repugs want to do a quitter bit. I am surprised no more of them have gone for the money instead of working at what they were elected to do.
Did he take the 9 iron with him? Another imbecile.

President Pawlenty.. has such a nice patriotic ring to it.

President Pawlenty will be a true conservative President, and the man in office the day after inauguration will be the same good man who ran for the great office of President of the United States.

I will be so proud to have an honest and confidant man in the White house again. We will really appreciate him, because we will have known what we had in President Obama the liberal, the dreamer, the black man wanting to be white, the white man wanting not to be black,
the muslim searching for love in all the wrong places.

When he finally figures out who he is, he will at least no longer be the President of the United States.

Pawleny's has been so great at cutting spending in Minnesota that the persons at the state mental hospital are getting fed on 12 cents a day. That is a fact he cut for the poorest of the poor who have no voice. Even considering this guy for the presidency is a joke. Just think what 12 cents will buy you when it comes to food. Check it out folks it is a fact.

Seth, I am a conservative but words escape me concerning your post, well except one! IGNORANT! I have no problem with folks supporting whomever they want. That is America! But denegrating somebody like that is uncalled for and ridiculous! This is why the liberals think we are all racists!

The Iowa 2010 Taxpayer Day should be called the farmers get something for nothing day!

Farm welfare is just as bad as city welfare and just a few notched below corporate welfare.

Looks like the republicans want their pork barrel and then we can balance the budget.

"What is he doing going to Iowa?"

GOPers only complain about politicians traveling when it's Obama or Pelosi going somewhere,. even if it's to actually do their jobs, not just campaign for the next office they hope to hold.

Sheesh, let's hope he's more impressive on his trip than he was at CPAC. After that performance, his low rating was understandable. He's pretty unimpressive.

I have a few simple questions. When Governor Pawlenty makes these trips is he taking his vacation time or is he on official Minnesota government time? Also who is paying for his trips?

Is he having any issues in funding programs (medical care, educations, jobs) for his state? I thought there have been some concerns by the citizens of Minnesota.

Can't you people spell his name correctly. We Minnesotans know it is spelled P-H-E-W-L-E-N-T-Y....and he sure as Hades does.

If he so interested in things outside his state, maybe he should resign like another fellow conservative governor and just roam around and give speeches in his run for another office (?).

How can this Dufus actually believe in any way shape or form that he could possibly be elected as President of The U.S.
He has destroyed the State of Minnesota, We have the highest Property Taxes, the Highest fees for everything and anything you can apply a fee to, because of his "Tax Cuts", the fees and increases in property taxes cost us twice as much than if we would have just kept our tax rate the same and you would not believe it...even though we are a very proud blue state...the circus elephants that wander among us...just don't get it!!! All you have to say to these fools is "Tax cuts" and they drool. It is simply amazing!!! We cannot wait to get rid of this Leprachan looking thing with his pointy ears and pointy nose and his high pitched voice. He is a joke and he has hurt our seniors and our kids with his cuts to the underprivliged to try and cover his massive spending he did for the rich. He's running around the country and not taking care of the problems he created at home in Minnesota. He will NEVER be President! He is a very nasty and rotten person, I have no idea how he sleeps at night!!!
