(CNN) - Laura Bush and Sarah Palin have rarely crossed paths, but the two will appear at the same North Carolina forum this June.
Bush and Palin are the featured speakers at the Blueridge Educational Resource Group "Women's Expo" on June 5 in Charlotte, the group confirms. Bush, the former first lady, will speak at 1 p.m. ET following a VIP luncheon while Palin will address the crowd at 4 p.m. ET. The former Alaska governor and 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee will also hold a book signing for the first 75 people who purchase the $300-a-piece tickets.
The group says a portion of the proceeds will go to the Victory Junction Gang, a camp for chronically ill children in North Carolina.
Blueridge Educational Resource Group describes itself as a non-profit corporation "whose purpose is to affect the issues that plague our society such as poverty, drug abuse, and teen pregnancy in a positive manner using every means possible."

Wow, this ought to set women's rights back about a hundred years or so. Laura Bush seems nice enough, but isn't exactly a role model for modern women since she hasn't accomplished much without depending on her husband. And Sarah Palin is a complete idiot and sociopath who's a symbol of corruption, and can't even carry a job through without quitting under pressure! How embarrassing for that forum that they ended up with these two... especially Palin! Who organized this?

At least the former First Lady used to be a teacher and actually belongs at this event. I'm not too sure if Palin ever graduated from high school. Can someone provide me a copy of her diploma or GED.

Confused on the Sarah pick – what types of values does she represent (putting aside the Republican and for that matter the Democrat talking positions) she has quit every single thing she has done in her life and has one of the most dysfunctional family life ever shown since "Roseanne" aired.
