Bunning still not answering questions

(CNN) – Kentucky Sen. Jim Bunning is still not answering questions about his decision to block a bill that would extend unemployment benefits to millions of jobless Americans.

CNN's Dana Bash and a CNN camera crew again tried to get Bunning to comment more extensively on the controversy but the senator emphatically declined.

Truly a major GOP Jerk. It will be nice to see him gone. He can take his deal with him too!

"but the senator emphatically declined". What an understatement! The guy was a total jerk. He felt that he didn't owe the american people any explanation. His weak explanation about increasing the federal deficit (while agreeing during the Bush years to every budget increase for the Iraq war while that was burning through at least 1 billion a month) is the biggest crock of cow dung I have ever heard. Anybody want to vote republican now? How about your unemployed family members or friends and neighbors? He (and his fellow republicans) are sure looking out for us.

I do wonder why the Senator had no problem funding the banks and car companies but wants Congress to prove there's money to support out of work Americans before he'll agree to that bill. I believe middle-class Americans need assistance more than the large companies do.
