Washington (CNN) - Megastars Beyonce and Jay-Z, accompanied by a small group of friends, visited the White House on Wednesday for a special tour that included the White House Situation Room, White House aides confirmed.
A photo, apparently taken of the group in the Situation Room, was released on the Web site Rap Radar. The photo shows Jay-Z sitting at the head of the table, the seat normally occupied by the president. He is surrounded by his wife, Beyonce, and others in his entourage.
White House tours for the public normally do not include a stop inside the Situation Room. When occupied by the president and his national security team, the room is typically used to mobilize the administration during a crisis situation and communicate to officials around the world. But one White House aide said special visitors occasionally get access to the Situation Room.
"It's not like there's classified information laying around," the aide said. "It's really just a conference room."
Last December, the White House posted a virtual tour of the Situation Room, touting it as "an exclusive look inside one of the most secure spaces in the country."
White House aides confirmed that Jay-Z and Beyonce stopped by before Jay-Z's concert Wednesday night at Washington's Verizon Center.

So, Obama now brings in the hottest stars, let's them hang at the WH, and then in 3 years, Obama will call in a favor asking JayZ and Beyonce to stump for him. He won't have to spend millions on advertising, he just picks up the phone and tells his pal JayZ to tell his fans to get out an vote.
Brilliant plan, just wish Obama could figure out more shrewd tactics to keep America afloat while he's in office.....
How sad I am for America today if this is whatwe spend our time holding long conversations about. I am actually offended how many Americans cant get past the color of their skin tones to understand how monumental the moment of them getting that exslusive priviledge was. Jay Z and Beyonce coming to the White House shoud be no different than if it were Bon Jovi. Both sets having made such a difference in their lives as of the lives of many others. The only difference is that Jay Z and Beyoncehave this stigma as Entertainers with money and pull rather than business people that have made an empact.... And this is irking me but that correspondent had her nerve. Making it sound as if they took some friends to Disney land rather than tour our nations most important stable. Those that they brought with them were family members not "friends", as if the White House was on the way to their hotel.

As a average american citizen I had the opportunity to tour the West Wing during Clinton term. It is a special tour and you do need to go through background checks prior to visit. Myself and other members of the group even took pictures of ourselves standing on the stage where press conferences are held. The podium that holds the Presidential seal was in front. B IG Deal. We saw the Oval office, situation room and the rose garden and took pictures. Wouldn't YOU?
It's not like Jayz and his group were in the situation room with President Obama going over the national agenda. Many celebrities, shock jocks, wingnut talk show host such as Boortz and Limpballs have been in the west wing areas with previous presidents
and have pics.. What's the issue now of all sudden???

"They just stopped by before the concert............" and get a guided tour of the WH as if it is just some regular little place you go to or whatever when in town to fill in some time. Who invited them since other celebrities have said they stopped by and couldn't get entrance? Can the WH point out anyone else who has had a tour of this area and the privilege of sitting in the President's chair relaxing while pictures are being taken in a room where only used for crisis situations?

If you have listened to Jay-Z's "music" you would know he is a racist. It again just shows Obama's lack of judgement. It's really sad that someone as classy as Beyonce is married to that guy.
To best of my knowledge, POTUS hasn't even invited Team USA to the White House to congratulate them on their medals won during the recent Winter Olympics. They worked and trained so hard for it and made America proud! Gimme a break, and gansta Jay-Z gets a complete tour?

I think half of you are a bunch of no nothings. Apparently you have no idea the work Jay-Z and Beyonce have done for youth. Not with music but in organizations too. Of course people that do not follow these two will have something negative to say. Those two are yes great entertainers but remember they are two very success business people. I think there are a lot more important things to worry about other than who gets a tour of the White House. Get over yourselves people! hrm....another couple Taliban leaders killed today in drone attacks inside Pakistan. Looks like our President may have been right about extending a hand in PARTNERSHIP with our ALLIES. Pakistan hasn't made a peep about all these attacks on their soil since Cheney/Bush left office. Seems they like us now. I think President Obama's administration has killed more terrorists in Pakistan/Iraq/Afghanistan than the previous 8 years!
