Obama delays foreign trip

Washington (CNN) – White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs announced Friday morning that President Barack Obama will delay leaving for his Asia trip until Sunday March 21, three days later than previously announced.

"The President will delay leaving for Indonesia and Australia – will now leave Sunday – the First Lady and the girls will not be on the trip," Gibbs said on his Twitter account. Obama had previously expressed a willingness to delay the trip in order to work on health care, according to a senior administration official.

    LAST FACT...

Do ANY OF YOU realize this is a PONZI SCHEME.

    The MONEY is not there.

Social security, Medicare, and Medicaid are UNFUNDED to the tune of 65 Trillion dollars. THE MONEY DOES NOT EXIST.

Bernie Maddow went to jail for this and so should the US Congress.
THERE IS NO MONEY TO PAY FOR THIS.
IT IS A BIG PYRAMID SCHEME plain and simple.

I hope all politicians read this. Do NOT pass this bill! It is absurd to be told, by Pelosi, that you have to pass it in order to know what is in it!
We want reform – this is NOT reform. What Government is trying to do is control our Health Care – Socialized Medicine. Taxes will sky rocket and our care will be diminished.

Why stay home? So he can go around the country giving more campaign speeches?

If this bill was so good, why does he have to sell it so hard?

Obama can not gt his own party to support this thing. Regardless of what you think, the majority of credible polls say the public does NOT want this bill. Yes the want reform, but not this garbage Obama and his thugs are trying to pass.

If the bill was good, why do they have to use, tricks, pay offs, bribes, intimidation and political and legal manuevers to get it done,,,,,,,,

Why,, simple,, this bill stinks of party politics and is NOT what the voters want.

The Prez should stay in USA and work on the people's business.

For years, I've said that Presidents take too many trips.
Let the Vice-Prez or Secretary of State talk to foreign leaders or invite the foreign leaders to Washington.

Why are you adding students loans into the Health Care Bill.

I thought this was all 100% about the people who doesn't have health care nothing about student loans.

  22. THE FACE OF HEALTH INSURANCE REFORM

    Mr. President –

When you go to OHIO, please take 5 people with healthcare horror stories up on the dias with you. Put a FACE on the injustice that people are facing versus insurance companies.

Include some of those white male, blue collar workers, that typically don't understand that you, more than the Republicans, have their, and their families, best interests at heart. DRIVE IT HOME.

Communicate that the Republican's opposition be Healthcare Insurance Reform is opposition to the quality of life for Middle America

I am glad to see and know that President Obama has his priorities straight–putting domestic policy ahead of foreign policy. He is smart enough to know how important this healthcare reform initiative is and knows the political consequences of failure to pass and implement this initiative. This initiative is about saving people's lives and preserving their well-being. It is also about saving our economy. These goals have more importance than a trip to Asia.
