(CNN) - Rep. Joe Courtney, the Connecticut Democrat who had been undecided on how he would vote on the latest version of the House health care bill, announced on CNN Friday he will support the bill.
"We've spent the last 24 hours reviewing the package, which was finally released yesterday afternoon as well as the [Congressional Budget Office's] score," Courtney told CNN's Ali Velshi, "and I'm satisfied that there are adequate changes made to the Senate bill, the base bill, that address the issues that kept me in the undeclared column."
Courtney voted in favor of the original House bill late last year.

So EXCITED! After all this time, it now seems real. Happy! Happy! Happy!
Thank you for standing with the people!!!
The way I heard it, it would take a highly efficient speed reader 3-4 days to review the bill. Ordinary folks, at least a week.
His comments don't ring true. he is just caving to the political machine. Vote him out!
Vic of new dork.
Check out the Oregon Dem who just said no. Your still two short little boy. Try holding your breath maybe you will get your way.
2010/2012 REAL Change is coming
Great!!
Jon in Madison, dream on. The Constitution does not only work for Republicans, it works for Democrats as well.
I am sorry you want to praise the Tea Klux Klans but strapping this bill, but it won't happen. The Republicans had years to come up with a health care plan, but they did not. The will never have a plan as they are only interested in big businesses.
When the American People see what is in this bill, many who oppose will lose this coming November. Would you vote to have a bill revoked that will prevent a sick child from recieving insurance? I don't think so.
If the bill was bad, then Democrats would not be pushing it.
So... what did it take to buy your vote?
Neo cons; neo rot
THANK YOU SIR!!
There is HOPE after all!
Thank you so much!!
Shame on you Joe Courtney.
one good thing that will happen if this passes, is that it will be the end of the Democratic Socialist Party that obama controls.
Thank You!
The bill will pass but the Dems. will be doomed in November. We literally will have the 2 most unpopular historic moments in US history. The election of Barack Obama and the health care bill.
MMMM...momentum. It smells delicious.
Thanks! **Moderator won't post
@ life long democrat:
"AMEN. all good christians thank you....its about time!"
Really?
What is 'christian' about publicly funded abortion?
I guess the word Democrat has become an anagram for being retarded.
Willy Brown, it appears you hate proper grammer as well. please go back to elementary school before arming yourself with a keyboard. thank you very little.
to "andagain" i guess you would know. takes one to know one?
In the end this vote will cover americans and rteduce the cost for all americans. It will reveal the GOP for the anti-middle class party they truley are, that is thier biggest fear.
As for the november elections. It is the GOP that should really be afraid after middle class americans realize the GOP was lying all along.
Thank you, Rep. Courtney, for doing the right thing for our country!
Our President's reform package will extend coverage to millions of the uninsured, outlaw abusive insurance practices, provide incentives to control healthcare costs, and reduce the deficit by $138 billion. I personally read the Congressional Budget Office analysis. The Catholic Health Association and leaders of 50,000 religious sisters have also endorsed the reform package.
I hope your fellow Connecticut Senator Lieberman also does the right thing for his country after the House passes the reform package.
On behalf, of the American middle class, or what's left of it, I say thank you.
By the way, for all of you who don't like this bill because you think it requires tax dollars to pay for abortion, it does not. The Hyde amendment is still intact. If you don't believe me, ask the experts, not the opposition politicians.
You libs just love freebies, don't you? Dear ones, this smelly package of garbage is anything but free!
Courtney is another Joe ...Lieberman in the making. This guy can't make a decision if his life depends on it. Unless our district is polling 90-10 on an issue, he gets tremors about making a decision.
Thank you Rep. Courtney for standing up for the middle class and doing what's right for the American people.
By voting "YES" , Courtney will do the best thing for everyday US citizens. He will give them an excellent health care system like we have here in Canada
Wow Debby, how jihadist of you. The last time I checked, there was not a Hotel room within 50 miles available to see President Obama sworn in as the 44th President of the United States, furthermore his swearing in was the highset rated viewed since the Nielson ratings came into existance....that sounds very unpopular. The Representatives who are changing their votes are doing so because the people who put them in office want this to go through. I still think it's funny to read whe you Republican Jihadist write "this passage will be the end of the Democrats", yeah just like their were 18 million people pissed becuase then Senator Obama won the Democratic nomination for POTUS. Furthermore, I know my taxes will go up because I am in the 250,000 plus crowd, but guess what, I'd rather pay for healthcare for all that unprovoked war in Iraq. That's okay, we will finish off the Republican Party once and for all in November. Bye Bye Republican "I hate America" Jihadist.
Florida Congresswoman Suzanne Kosmas will switch from no to yes, becoming the sixth Democrat in recent days to announce that switch.
Hurts, doesn't it?
