I learned very early in life not to argue with nuns. Thank you sisters for doing the right thing and bringing some much needed reason to the Catholic Church.

The Catholic Church is a religious organization, and needs to stay out of governmental affairs.
Lord knows, they can't even keep their own church in order.

About five years ago there use to be a billboard in New york City subways that said, and I am paraphrasing "90 percent of men make the rules in washington, 100 percent of them will never be pregnant".
The only people to truly understand this in the catholic community are the nuns.

God I love reading a story about the GOP challenging the Constitutionality of this bill based on it taking away the CHOICE of whether to buy insurance, and then a couple clicks later listening to you conservative religio-fascists argue that the federal goverment should not support and facilitate the exercise of the Constitutional right to CHOOSE whether you have an abortion. Hypocritical troglodytes.

"Funny how CNN and the others IGNORe the other group of Nuns that agree with the Bishops, but that wouldn't help "moving those numbers forward" would it CNN?"
Funny how it's not really much of a story that a group of nuns caved to the demands of their bishops.
"How about the story where in the LIBERAL New England Journal of uh, uh, uh, uh, uh MEDICINE, Doctors are on RECORD as saying they WILL QUIT if Obamacare is passed, QUIT."
Funny as it seems (since they are generally such selfish morons like yourself), GOPers are sometimes doctors too.
"Maybe a story on the CVS, Walgreens and WalMarts that are NO LONGER going to take take prescriptionsbecause they are LOSING MONEY."
The bill hasn't passed yet, so you can't blame that on the bill.

Well Sisters have you given any thought to the over fifty groubs that are soon to be on Social Security and Medicare. Her come the Death Panel books on who will be treated and who won't. AMEN FOR ALL THE IMMORAL SEX MANIAC CATHOLIC ORGANIZATIONS. You will soon find that you don't run this world. You want to save one group while killing off another.

Yes, it does, and there will be more to come!
The bishops are correct.
And, women's voices will continue to be muffled as long as they persist in destroying the fruit of their wombs.

Way to go, dear Sisters! I wish you could convince the ignorant Rep.Stupak to likewise support the President's reform. I can't understand his opposition (or that of the US Catholic bishops). I studied in the seminary for six years during my youth. There is absolutely no reason why a Catholic should not support this life-affirming reform!
Our President's reform package will extend coverage to millions of the uninsured, outlaw abusive insurance practices, provide incentives to control healthcare costs, and reduce the deficit by $138 billion. I personally read the Congressional Budget Office analysis.

The ONLY provision in this bill that comes anywhere near constituting the government making peoples' personal health care decisions for them is the limitation on abortion. That is a FACT.
Read the bill and stop whining that it's too long. That's just making excuses for your ignorance. If the Dems tried to pass a 50 page bill to reform 1/6th of the economy, you'd be using its brevity as your argument, so STFU.

Good for them. It is just great to see that there are still intelligent "members of the clergy", broadly speaking, who have the courage and integrity to express a difference of opinion from the pathetic hierarchy of the USA.
How come that same hierarchy does not get worked up about the fact that a child under age five dies every three and a half seconds somewhere in the world, thanks in large part to the apathy of the US hierarchy and Catholics.

Funny to hear the Republican Jihadist complian about how the Catholic Church should stay out of Governmental affairs, and then turn around and use their Christian warped views when it comes to Pro Choice rights. And you wonder why slowly but surely, you Republican Jihadist are being phazed out of American Society. The Republican Party is nothing more then the American Arm of the Taliban. The HCR does not fund abortions for the last time. Take time to do that little ting called reading. But as always, you intellectual challenged idiots rather get your sound bites from your Fuhrer Rush Limbaugh than actually take time and read. Yes, see you in November, we will have your tissue waiting for you when you are finally ridden of, Republican Jihadist.

John – you say the woman is not a nun because she is not cloistered. What generation are you from? Were you born in 1900? Maybe that explains it.
I say bravo to this nun for using her conscience and humanity – I thought that's what nuns and priests were supposed to do. The Catholic Hospitals are doing the right thing and so are these NUNS!

A wise woman of the Christian faith (faith as in the faith I grew up in, not the evil swarm we face today) can see what so many egotistical men cannot. Thank you sister, for reminding me of a Christianity that has been too long absent in America. I am thankful we still have people like you. As long as we have people like you, we still have hope. God bless you.
