Obama: "This is what change looks like"

WASHINGTON (CNN) – President Barack Obama said Sunday night that the passage of health care reform is "not a victory for any one party. ... It's a victory for the American people and it's a victory for common sense."

"This is what change looks like," he said.

This is a victory for Socialist OBAMA, not the majority of American people who is going to pay more tax and higher health insurance premium. Young adults who are healthy and do not wish to buy their health insurance will have to pay heavy fine or they will have to go to jail if they refuse to pay. Period! Let's remember 2012 and kick him out of the WH. Maybe it is time to impeach OBAMA.

Thank you!! I don't know if it's I'll be able to get him covered quick enough to get some important tests done to help my almost 26 year old diabetic child, but I have hope for him anyway.

Using reconcilliation (a procedure to help reconcile budget only items) as a means to avoid a filibuster for one of the largest pieces of legislature ever is what change looks like?

Bribing congressman after congressman until you have enough votes is what change looks like?

Using gimicks in CBO scoring to lie about the bill being deficit neutral is what change looks like?

    Enjoy your change America!!!

November can't get here soon enough.

In the 30s FDR and the Democrats passed Social Security. In the 60s LBJ and the Democrats passed Medicare, Medicaid, and the Civil Rights Act. And now Obama and the Democrats have passed health care reform. The Republicans–once again on the wrong side of history.

How's this change working for you? We are more divided than we were during the civil war. Instead of agreeing on things that we could have done to truly reform health care, the dumbocraps pushed through the biggest financial disaster this country will ever see if it goes unchallenged. That is why I am predicting that a large part of it will be kicked out in court. Most of the dumbocraps that are up for election in November will be kicked out. The Repubs will vote to repeal the bill. Obummie will veto and he will be history in 2012 with the majority of dumbocraps running that year. The Repubs will then have congress and the white house and the bill will be killed in its' entirety. People will then work for a living and quit relying on hand outs. Sorry dumbocraps!!!!

If this all go's through it will be the greatest accomplishment in America in a very long time. It will go down in history as the best thing Obama ever did as President. Every other country in the world that got healhcare passed have enshrined the lawmakers for doing such a great service to their countries. At the beginning they were not popular either but over time the people that have worked to get health care passed are great heros to their countries. Every country that passed their own healthcare acts had people believing that they could not afford it and that it would increase taxes and create unemployment. In all those cases every country that now has health care reform you could not pry those benifits back from the public, as they are better off for passing health care. This will be one of the greatest things to happen to USA, it is just going to take time for people to realize that. You will not find any Swedes, Canadians or Europeans that have healthcare that would be willing to give it back.

As an American living abroad in Canada I am so pleased that health care reform is finally going to be achieved. I have been watching on and off all day – my children and grandchildren living in the States will be able to enjoy the sense of medical security that I have living in Canada – way to go Dems!

... it's "a victory for the NONPRODUCTIVE American people" and a victory for more wealth redistribution and for lower quality of care for those how actually pay for their services and HUGE LOSS for the porductive members of society who are once again being punished, while failure is once again rewarded!

This is a job killer and as an employer and business owner – I cana guarantee you that it will impact my future highering negatively significantly!

Congratulations, Mr. President. Keep fighting the good fight.

I voted for change, and this is what it looks like.

    I'm liking what I see.

Continue working to fix this country, BUT THIS TIME, DO NOT SPEND SO MUCH TIME TRYING TO GET THE REPUBS TO AGREE WITH YOU!!!

From here on out, DO WHAT MUST BE DONE WITHOUT THEM!!!!

    NO DOUBT ABOUT IT!!!!!!!
    CHANGE, CHANGE, CHANGE.

A Presidential Administration that pushes their own agenda through a Congress where his party is in the majority. That's different. Wait a minute, isn't that what we've all been complaining that GeeDub did?

Everyone needs to keep in mind that this President had a super majority and, still, had to resort to different, well at least controversial, tactics to get it passed. Then, it was passed by a very thin margin, due to the fact that a majority of the American people were, at best, wary of the bill.

This is change, wether any of us like it or not. To be honest, it's not the kind of change I voted for.

Sorry Obamessiah but lying, bartering, begging, and threatening members of your own party to agree with you is not change. But passing laws unconstitutionally is.
