McCain anticipates 'a very nice reunion' with Palin

Washington (CNN) – Sen. John McCain said Monday he is looking forward to a "very nice reunion" with his former presidential running mate, Sarah Palin, when she campaigns alongside him later this week in Arizona.

Palin will join McCain at two rallies at the end of the week in Tucson and Phoenix, their first appearance together in public since the 2008 presidential race. Former Rep. J.D. Hayworth is challenging McCain in the Republican primary, a race McCain said he is not taking for granted.

McCain told C-SPAN his campaign has received an "overwhelming response of people that want to come to the rallies."

"Sarah did galvanize our party after she agreed to be my running mate, and the speech she gave at the convention," McCain said. "I am sure she will do the same thing when she comes to Arizona."

He added: "It will be a very nice reunion, to have the chance to spend some time with her, and I am very grateful that she would come to Arizona."

Why is Palin still in the news? Why does the media (and elements of the right) continue to lionize this half-wit?

Is that what America should aspire to – expertise in hunting, fishing and bible studies and "to blazes" with everything else? This anti-science culture could eventually be our doom!

I know you are surprised as am I that the nit wit can read. All you haters who are always trying to say the President uses a prompter, there is on comparision. Palin has the IQ of a flee, LOL she is in no league with the President although she and old timer mccain are two bundling idiots.

When my children were growing up I used to tell them, "Be careful who you hang out with. One day you may live to regret that relationship."

Senator McCain: DITTO! I'm sure one day you may pay for your friendship with this imbecile!

The hot head McCain would kiss the rear end of anyone who he thought might gain him one vote or give him some money to buy some votes with,

Americans are free to love and like who they want. They belong together anyway... birds of the same caliber... McCain is not smarter than she is... He just has more tricks and more wife money.

They don't just belong to the white house. Period.

"Sarah did galvanize our party after she agreed to be my running mate, and the speech she gave at the convention,"

Let's not forget that she did not write a single word of that speech as was obvious once she started to talk on her own. I believe she used a teleprompter as well during that speech...LOL John really needs to retire, not because he's old but because his ideals are old. His time has come and gone.

    John is senile, too!
John, it is really time to retire. You have nothing more to give just to loose.

They lost the election last time, largely because of her. Maybe if McCan had chosen a different candidate for his VP, one with half a brain, he might have had a better chance. And still, the Republican pParty wants to trot these 2 out again??? Will they never learn? If you don't give people a choice, they aren't going to vote for you. LOSERS!

Yeah, she galvanized your party alright! She fits right in with the republican party, loud, obnoxious, ignorant, constantly riling up the party members by telling lies and calling names and only in it for her own personal gain.

Guess you should have vetted her before you chose her. Now you have to live with the consequences. May those consequences retire you.

These two are a joke. This is the representation of the Republican party. If you are an intelligent person how do you dare agree with this group and there direction.

Palin will also be stumping in Minnesota for Bachmann.

The two most laughed at women in the country appearing togther under the same roof. Go figure . . .

It's time for McCain to retire. He isn't nearly as significant as he thinks he is.

John McCain and Sarah palin are old news, american people want change for all americans not just a select few, (the rich and the powerful). Those two should just go away.

If McCain needs Palin to help him hold onto his seat, which he isn't exactly new to, then he is in sorry shape.

One can only hope she has the same effect in Arizona she had nationally. That would mean McCain will lose again.

Well, John, she isn't there yet, and she isn't known for her reliability. I'm sure if she deigns to reward you with her presence, the tea baggers will come out, but is that really who you are after? You and she are on very different sides of some issues, and I doubt a speech by Palin is going to win you many votes, although it will get you into one news cycle.

Mccain must be a real "sucker for punishment". Did he forget already that Palin was one of the main reason he lost the election! Every time she opens her mouth she looks and sounds stupid!! I guess McCain is ready for retirement.

That picture says it all. It's like she stinks and she does because anything she touches dies. She bombed your campaign and now he is bringing her back. Is he going to go into the dude and the broken arm and blah, blah, about everything about the dysfunctional family?
The only problem here is that as much as mcnasty should retire and go play with black widow spiders in the desert hayworth sounds like he is 100% worse.
AZ needs a democraty in Congress. Plain and simple.

  24. Are you kidding me?

One would think he would RUN from any meeting at all with her after she single handly lost the election for him. I guess some people just never learn.......

For the last time McCain, she is the primary reason why you lost the presidential election, she may cost you your senate seat too. Besides, I would be appaulled to have a quitter on my team
