Washington (CNN) –- As the House was debating the controversial health care bill Sunday, Vicki Kennedy visited Arlington National Cemetery where she said she "spent some time" with her husband. Arlington is the final resting place for Sen. Edward Kennedy, the Massachusetts Democrat who made health care reform his passion and lifelong goal.
"I thought yesterday was an important day to be there, because I had hope and confidence and certainly, you know, wish that the bill would pass," she said in an exclusive interview with CNN's John King.
The full interview appears on CNN's new political program "John King, USA," which debuts Monday at 7 p.m. ET.

The more he carps about it, the more he draws attention to his own hypocrisy. But then he never was the sharpest tooth on the gel-streaked comb.
I really wish vicki would've taken Teddy's place in the Senate...but I wish her the best. I think it was fantastic that she visited him on the day of the vote...very fitting.
Please file my previous comment under the Mitt Romney piece, where it belongs ... "The more he carps about it, the more he draws attention to his own hypocrisy. But then he never was the sharpest tooth on the gel-streaked comb." Thanks. Total respect to Mrs. Kennedy and the legacy of her late husband.
Oh I didn't know this health care bill included re-animation of people. Gosh, when will libs get that you can't bring people back from the dead
Thank you Mrs. Vicki Kennedy for been there in honor of Sentor Ted Kennedy. I know he is smileing down at us all! May God continue to bless you. Keep his loving all around you. Protect you in all you do and say!
God Bless YOU!
Who cares, spend some time with your dead husband who have died sooner if he was being treated under this "new" health care.
Maybe she took him a bottle of vintage bourbon along with a snorkel for Chappaquidick!
The old fat blow hart was a liberal elitist. It's easy to live in dream world when you have so much family $$$ you don't know what to do with it.
If this dumb schmuck ever had to make it on his own, paying the high taxes he helped institute, he would have never made it.
Keep on helping to Bankrupt America.
I do not care for John King. He only visits "REAL AMERICAN TEA-BAGGERS." He is always in "RURAL TOWNS." He never gets the views of a more diverse background of people. He rarely speaks with Independents who are straight down the middle. I think he is definitely the replacement for the hateful Lou Dobbs and his Far Right Wing Rhetoric. John King definitely is a tool for the Republican Party just as Keith Olbermann is one for the Democrats.
Thank you to our late Senetor Kennedy for never letting go of a vision you had for heathcare. It was for us the poor and middle class you fought so hard. I know you are looking down very proud on our President who wanted to do this also in your memory. Thank you to your loving wife Vikkie that stood by your side and supported you on this vision.
Boy, she's milking this for all it's worth. Lovely.
