If he didn't want to spend any time in Washington, perhaps Obama shouldn't have run for president. Now he's going to waste more time selling something he's already forced into law. How about that promise to make jobs "priority one"? Maybe they should have included the public option, for all the unemployed.

Excellent work Mr. President and Congress. When the hooplah dies down, when the politically-motivated lawsuits are shown to have no merit, when the fears promulgated by the right fail to come true, when people actually start benefiting from this landmark legislation, we will all (minus those that choose to live in perpetual denial) recognize what a critically important and necessary move this was in order to advance our great nation forward. Thank you!

Memo to the Orange Oracle and his party of Reds

    Subject: Why?

    1. Why did you and the other Reds vote YES in 2003 for Prescription drug coverage for MEDICARE Part D when the CBO score said it would ADD to the deficit an additional 394 BILLION dollars?

    2. Why did you and the other Reds vote YES in 2003 for Tax Cuts for the rich when the CBO score said it would ADD to the deficit an additional 349 BILLION dollars?

    3. Why did you and the other Reds vote YES in 2001 for Tax Cuts when the CBO score said it would ADD to the deficit an additional 1.3 TRILLION?

Then a black man was elected as President and now these same cons have had a “Come to Jesus” meeting on “fiscal responsibility” and are sorrowful about “loading years of debt on the backs of our grandbabies“.

    1. Why did you and the other Reds vote NO for health care reform in 2010 for 32 MILLION Americans when the CBO score said it would SUBTRACT 1.3 TRILLION from the deficit.

I thought the Party of NO was for working class Americans AND deficit reduction?

Sorry, but these pesky facts have me confused.

    Please explain!

The bill is SO BAD, he now has to run around to country trying to convince everyone that it's good for them. This will go on through November. Which is a bad move as it will constantly remind Americans how our legislative process has been duped.

Who is the crazy, angry, venomous doctor commenting on the healthcare bill with Dr. Gupta? I've not seen too many people as frantic as he was with his comments. A good example of how the "opposition" has sometimes gotten a bit out of control. Where is the generosity of spirit in these people?

GO Mr. President! I am behind you 100%. I'm so proud of you and your administration. I'm also so glad you have ignored the trailer trash coming out against you. I am so very proud of you today.

    Best wishes.

So the lesson is: If you want to get stuff done, elect more Democrats.

This administration does not listen to the people it respresents and serves. It gives the appearance of a dictatorship or communist country. I agree we need changes in healthcare but now I fear that many more Americans will suffer in their pocketbook as well as their health.

Anyone concerned about the cost- think about all the costs healthcare is costing us right now. This actually saves lives, unlike the unfunded wars Bush shoved down our throats.

Thank goodness it passed. It's time for reform. It's not a perfect bill but it's a start. Let's move to prevention and not a disease orientated health care system.

I still not 100% excited about this because I wanted the public option but this is a step in the right direction. Thank you Mr. President for keeping your campaign promise. Now lets get our troops home!

    Ohh Yeah.....

Odumbo is hitting the road trying to soft sell Socialism. He's going to get screamed down by any audience that isn't hand picked for him.

But since he's a gutless wonder, he won't do that. Everything will be staged. And he'll be surrounded by the entitlement crowd, like that stupid kid standing next to him when he signed this junk called a health bill.

@Patricia O'Kelley sorry but your story about your mother is false, you have to remember many of us are on Medicare so it is too easily checked on and blatant lies like yours stand out. EVERYONE DISREGARD what Patricia O'Kelley states as it simply is NOT TRUE!!!
Take it from someone else who is on Medicare and KNOWS the TRUTH!
Hurray for President Obama, I also feel my vote counted and am very proud of the President and the Democratic Congress, as for all the disgruntled Repugliban, bring it on in November, with Health Care Reform out of the way we are ready for you and going to make you whine and cry all the way to the hills after another beating in 2010 and 2012!!!!!

You just signed a deal with the devil to get this passed, Mr. Obama. Just remember, he will come to collect. I hope signing the largest baby-killing bill in history makes you feel good at night. I know the devil is resting better now.

    @ThinkAgain,

Free speech is not limited to people. No where in the first amendment does it mention only people have the right to free speech. A corporation is nothing more than group of people... just like a Union or Acorn.

Congratulations to the President and the members of Congress that did now allow the hatred and bigotry of the right from doing what is right by the people of the US.
@munchmom – go ahead – you now have healthcare that you obviously don't deserve, but even the brain needy will be taken care of..
@John – he doesn't have to sell it unless you have been listening only to faux news. Anybody in their right mind knows this is good for everyone.
@joekiloz – unemployment has leveled and my 401k is going up. What did bush do? nothing.

Thank you – now my daughter with pre-existing conditions will be able to purchase health insurance when she graduates college. Too bad we had to settle for a watered down version (thanks to the Republicans) missing the public option. It will be difficult to control the health insurance monopoly from raising rates.
