Palin targets vulnerable Democrats

Sarah Palin's PAC will target Democrats who voted for health care reform.
Sarah Palin's PAC will target Democrats who voted for health care reform.

Washington (CNN) - Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin launched a fundraising campaign Tuesday targeting 17 Democrats that voted in favor of health care reform and represent districts carried by the McCain-Palin ticket in 2008.

In a post on Facebook, Palin urged followers to "reclaim the power of the people from those who disregarded the will of the people."

Palin, a long-time critic of the health care reform legislation, directed followers to donate money to her political action committee, SarahPAC.

"Maybe when they join the millions of unemployed, they'll understand why Americans wanted them to focus on job creation and an invigorated private sector," Palin wrote. "Come November, we're going to print pink slips for members of Congress as fast as they've been printing money."

The former governor lists 17 Democrats that SarahPAC will target in November – seats she says can be replaced with "Commonsense Conservatives."

Here are the 17 Palin targets:

Ann Kirkpatrick or Arizona
Harry E. Mitchell of Arizona
Gabrielle Giffords of Arizona
John Salazar of Colorado
Betsy Markey of Colorado
Allen Boyd of Florida
Suzanne Kosmas of Florida
Baron P. Hill of Indiana
Earl Pomeroy of Alabama
Charlie Wilson of Ohio
John Boccieri of Ohio
Kathy Dahlkemper of Pennsylvania
Christopher Carney of Pennsylvania
John Spratt, Jr. of South Carolina
Tom Perriello of Virginia
Alan Mollohan of West Virginia
Nick Rahall of West Virginia

"Reclaim the power of the people from those who disregarded the will of the people" so Palin and most other Republicans and right-wing TV hosts (Rush, Beck, et al.)? Hum. Let's see. Obama and Democrats ran on reforming health care during the presidential campaign and won by HUGE margins both the White House and Both houses of Congress, then work hard to craft and then successfully pass health care legislation. How is that "disregarding the will of the people?" Poor Republicians: They love to cry when they don't get their way . . . and they seldom make any sense. What country or PLANET for that matter are they living? Congrats fellow Dems; I'm sure PROUD of you!!!

Someone please tell this moron that the fast rising, overwhelming costs of health care has contributed to the job losses in this country.

What is up with the neoclowns and their "the majority of Americans don't want this" meme? Do they think that, if they repeat it enough times, it will become true? Half want it and another 10% or so, Real Americans like myself, think it's not liberal enough, but is acceptable for now. That leaves about 40% not wanting it and that's a minority by any definition (except in the senate where you need 60% to get anything done. More than 60% want a public option in any poll you care to dig up. Sarah, you're a hokey political dilettante who appeals to the lowest common denominator. If you don't like majority rule, move to Iran. They've got a theocracy (big word, I know) there. You'll fit right in. Have a nice day!

Palin never felt like all Americans should have a share in the oil revenues that she, her family and Alaskans receive every year due to oil drilling with tax payers money. Palin is a fraud.

Whatever Sarah. You couldn't even finish your term as governor so to stand up and point fingers at others as not being worthy of their office is hypocrisy in action.

    Go away...

BTW- Once your face starts to sag, you're gone. You were picked out of obscurity only because you were attractive. It sure wasn't for your brains.

  10. Save 'em in the womb, so a "christian" war can send 'em to the tomb

Since health care access for 32 million working class Americans was called "Armageddon" by the "christian" con House reps, here is my request.

Could you please get Saint Sarah of the Silly to use that "open line to God" she claims to have, and schedule that whole Rapture "thingy"?

That way all you "christians" are safe and sound and all we mere mortal human "heathens" will have to deal with are those pesky Horsemen of the Apocalypse, that will bring disease, pestilence and and an endless array of horrible things.

If the phone is busy(I assume God does not have Voicle Mail) get the TwitterTwit to send a tweet!

Please, do not make the Rapture dependent upon Saint Sarah being there on time, her history with meetings and invitations has not been the best. But I do assume she will be present and cross referencing her list of approved individuals that "Jesus saves".l

Thanking you in advance for scheduling this because you see, I have plans. Plan A was to be near Joel Osteen so I could catch that Diamond and 18KT Gold Rolex before it hit the ground, but upon reflection, I understand his wife can be a bit prickly, especially at high altitudes, so time for Plan B, I will be heading to Billy Graham's sure to be vacant mountain top chalet(personally, I might have used those funds for the poor and a more modest adobe but who am I to judge)?

Now, if only the pilot of his private Lear Jet, is a "heathen" I intend to travel.... .

Obama tries to help the people without them apparently wanting it, and Palin resorts to her typical rant about how the government should be overthrown, but when Bush starts a WAR without the people's support, that's just fine because he's not a (gasp) Democrat. This is pathetic, Palin and Fox News staff should be hung for treason trying to get people to revolt against the government without cause. Also, even IF most people didn't want this, since WHEN is it a new thing for the government to do whatever the hell it wants to do?

Who is she to target anyone? She quit her job as governor to become an 'entertainer'. Furthermore, she admitted that her own family used to sneak over the border to use Canada's health care system. What a hypocrite...if the gop keeps this up they are only going to become more irelevant than they are now.

Who disregarded the will of the people? Wasn't it the will of the people that put these 17 Democrats in office?

Apparently, the people have spoken Sarah. Case closed.

Palin and Steele and McCain, inciting fear and hate for political fund raising. Republicans SHOULD be worried. Today, the country has health care, and the DOW is 10,884. Anyone remember a year ago?

So those who wanted health care reform are either not people or don't count. What blind arrogance----- or ignorance!
Of the myriad arguments rendered against health care, not one Republican have put a human face on it. They are willing to sacrifice millions of men, women boys, girls, and babies for the sake of the status quo.
And they call themselves the party of God!

how can this stupid vindictive women know what america wants? are we supposed to be like her , quit our jobs, have some one write a book of lies, maybe milk people by charging an arm and a leg for her spouting hate , maybe charge millions to have a reality show. so now she is going after democrats who voted for the health bill. well, that is typical. she is a hate driven, vindictive want-to-be whatever witch. the american people are tired of her promoting hate and racism. she and mccain lost, it is time for her to realize it and move on. america does not need their hate, and ignorance. she is strictly for self and anyone thinking different is just as hateful as she is.

If anyone should be vulnerable to defeat, it should be Palin at whatever she attempts. We saw it repeatedly from Bush-Cheney and now again ever since from the full Republican Party. The bold, aggressive, stubborn and arrogant use of misinformation, scare tactics and appeals to everyone’s emotions and self-interests all intended to create excitement and hyperbole which are then exploited for political advantage. No where in any of it is there any real concern for the people, no honest, responsible and conscientious effort to resolve problems, only blatant efforts to manipulate and use people in the pursuit of a private agenda aimed to benefit Special Interests and a select few, who in return provide considerable overt and covert support, substantial contributions and even promises for after-office compensation. It cost everyone, everyone but the very wealthy, greatly in 2001 – 2008 and it would once again as it is impossible to think that if ever given their way they would do other than return to ‘more of the same’. The subterfuge, the deceptive liberal accusations and conservative hypocrisy, the con is aggressively being acted out and can readily be seen when biases, prejudices, emotional attachments and excited self-interests are checked. ‘More of the same’ promises only more apathy, costs, loss of real financial power and an abundance of subterfuge for the average American as those politicians selfishly pursue their political ambitions at all costs. Only the voters can stop them, only the people can reject the con and the question is, “will they?” There are those who are easily stirred, are quickly excited by the aggressive appeals to their self-interests but I suspect there are a lot more who are quietly reserve, who go about their life with a degree of acceptance and those are the people who really need to see the crime and to speak out, especially in the voting booths, refusing to be intimidated.
