Palin targets vulnerable Democrats

Sarah Palin's PAC will target Democrats who voted for health care reform.
Sarah Palin's PAC will target Democrats who voted for health care reform.

Washington (CNN) - Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin launched a fundraising campaign Tuesday targeting 17 Democrats that voted in favor of health care reform and represent districts carried by the McCain-Palin ticket in 2008.

In a post on Facebook, Palin urged followers to "reclaim the power of the people from those who disregarded the will of the people."

Palin, a long-time critic of the health care reform legislation, directed followers to donate money to her political action committee, SarahPAC.

"Maybe when they join the millions of unemployed, they'll understand why Americans wanted them to focus on job creation and an invigorated private sector," Palin wrote. "Come November, we're going to print pink slips for members of Congress as fast as they've been printing money."

The former governor lists 17 Democrats that SarahPAC will target in November – seats she says can be replaced with "Commonsense Conservatives."

Here are the 17 Palin targets:

Ann Kirkpatrick or Arizona
Harry E. Mitchell of Arizona
Gabrielle Giffords of Arizona
John Salazar of Colorado
Betsy Markey of Colorado
Allen Boyd of Florida
Suzanne Kosmas of Florida
Baron P. Hill of Indiana
Earl Pomeroy of Alabama
Charlie Wilson of Ohio
John Boccieri of Ohio
Kathy Dahlkemper of Pennsylvania
Christopher Carney of Pennsylvania
John Spratt, Jr. of South Carolina
Tom Perriello of Virginia
Alan Mollohan of West Virginia
Nick Rahall of West Virginia

Based on her past effect she's probably done these folks a favor!!

Having her blessing has proven to be less than a plus ( NY23rd.) so perhaps being her target will also be a plus in the end??

One things for sure, if the Republicans stay on this repeal kick they'll be doing the dems a huge favor.

    IMHO

Why does the media including CNN pay so much attention to what a complete moron like Sarah Palin says?
You keep her in the public eye, even though she's not capable of being the dogcatcher in Wasilla.

She can go back under the rock she crawled out from. There are a lot of issues to deal with and any sensible person knows you can't just deal with one at a time. Except if you are not too bright like her.

The Republican party members have essentially turned against America. Uttering statements that are unbecoming of good statesmen and women, threatening actions that explicitly show where their hearts are- in the pocket of big corporations, cheering those who are spitting, using racial and homophobic slurs. Gali, these folks give politics such a bad name. Their dishonesty is finally manifesting in gross order. They called Democrats "baby killers", and then threaten to repeal a law that will protect children from being denied health insurance due to pre-existing conditions. Now, who are the baby killers? Sarah Palin is a political joker and that is the stuff that Republicans are made of. She is almost on the fringes and worst of all, a novice. We have words for her whenever she decides to run for office again.

YEAH! That'll guarantee their re-election. Keep gunning for them Palin.

P.S. to CNN, I was wondering when you were going to run a story about her. I was waiting for a response from her yesterday regarding the passage of Health Care.

"reclaim the power of the people from those who disregarded the will of the people."

The "will of the people" in 2008 was that Sarah Palin not be allowed anywhere near the Oval Office.

I would be entertained to know the collective IQ of those 17 districts. Undoubtedly well below the national average... and that truly is Palin country!

Funny, if you pull the camera lens out of the extreme close up on health care, "those that disregard the will of the people" include a heckuva lot of Republicans.... TARP, Iraq war, Patriot Act....... But then again, she only means to focus where she is pointing.......

Bring it on Sarah! Bring it on! The more exposure you get the better the Democrats will do.

The pink slips should be for both political parties, each member of the Senate and Congress should be kicked out of office and lose the government health insurance the have.. Once again the politicians treated the governing of the country as a sporting event. Neither side honestly tried to work together to come up with a reasonable compromise.

This, from a person who admitted jumping across the Canadian border to take advantage of free health care as a young Mom. This, from a person who was FOR climate change legislation before she was AGAINST it. This, from a person who bailed on the citizens who voted her in as governor, so she could cash in. This, from a woman whose teenage daughter got pregnant, then preached abstinence. I hope she writes her talking points on her hand so she doesn' get too mixed up. Keep it up, Sarah, you're the gift that keeps on giving.

Dear God! Will some news outlet please take the initiative and stop printing ANYTHING that has to do with Sarah Palin? Every time some news story tries to make her relevant I just shake my head...as do most other people in this country.

This woman amazes me: She doesn't know when to quit.

But I think the media shares some of blame for putting her in the spotlight. During the debates on the health care bill last 2 week, Palin was rarely mentioned in the news. Now that the bill is passed in the House, the media puts her back to get the rise out of some people. =)

Palin should retire, anybody that stupid (but RICH, how much is Fox paying her??) Should just take her money back to Alaska and shoot moose.
Does she know which end of the gun to use?
Oh, by the way why should anybody listen to this quitter?

Any idea why republicans are so against the health bill, never had one of their on, and claim to be a mouth for americans. But the same american that they claim to be for when they were against the war called them un American. They didnt think twice about how much the war would cost but kept funding the war for their republican president. Their is so much disrespect for this president and its all because he is black.
