Washington (CNN) - Sen. Johnny Isakson, R-Georgia, is in the hospital.

Doctors believe Isakson has a bacterial infection, according to spokeswoman Joan Kirchner in a statement. Kirchner added that Isakson "is responding very well to the treatment and is feeling much better."

On Monday, Kirchner said, Isakson went to Northside Hospital in Atlanta after feeling sick and dehydrated. She said the senator hopes to recover quickly and return to work.

So how did that Medical Care paid by the tax payers work for you Senator? Get well, but remember, we paid your hosptial expenses. Now why can" we do that for all Americans?

Of course he'll do OK – he doesn't work, just yells NO, and still has a big income and all health benefits he and his family need.

Just tell him NO the next time he's up for election.

While I'm sorry to hear he is ill, I'll bet he is counting on insurance to pay the bill.
It's nice to know that most of the rest of us will soon have that available to us.
If he were a Democrat Pat Robertosn would say it was God punishing him for voting for healthcare reform.
My remarks are tasteless, but he is recovering and its time to show how stupid this sort of rhetoric is.
    I wish you well Senator

Sen. Johnny Isakson – I do hope you recover sir, must have been nice knowing you had insurance that would cover your stay! Why do you insist on denying it to 32,000,000 others!?

  18. No Incumbents 2010

Isaakson, Byrd, Lautenberg, Inouye and Akaka have turned the US Senate into their own personal nursing home, with legislative aides doing everything while they collect a paycheck and receive free medical care. We need term limits to retire these old career politicians because incumbents give themselve unfair advantage that is too hard for a challenger to overcome.

My note to my Senator: Get well soon, Senator Isakson. How are you enjoying that government run health care you have? Don't have to worry about losing your home or your life, do you? And about that e-mail you sent me telling me you would never vote for health care reform because you had to protect the profits of the insurance companies, why? You never answered that question for me. I'm still waiting.

Johnny will be alright. Bacterial infections can be problematic especially in cases where they are antibiotic resistant. But he has terrific health coverage, so he should be in good hands.

He needs to ask himself what would he do if he had no health insurance. He may receive some medial care but it would not be of the caliber he is receiving now. Time for some soul searching, Senator!
