Washington (CNN) - Rep. Tom Perriello, D-Virginia, released a statement Wednesday responding to the investigation into a "suspicious incident" at his brother's home in Virginia:
"My number one priority right now is ensuring the safety of my brother's family, and I am grateful to law enforcement for their excellent work. While it is too early to say anything definitive regarding political motivations behind this act, it's never too early for political leaders to condemn threats of violence, particularly as threats to other Members of Congress and their children escalate. And so I ask every member of House and Senate leadership to state unequivocally tonight that it is never OK to harm or threaten elected officials and their families with anything more than political retribution. Here in America, we settle our political differences at the ballot box."

Classy and true. Put the traitors in their place. They say they love America..........yeah right. Glad to be a Democrat!
This Hate and Anger if fanned more by the Republican party and the radical right wing conservatives.......they are worse than Government of Iran.....they didn't like the vote so do harm to those that voted they way they didn't agree with.......so this is the way the Republicans try to get their point across they things don't go the way they want them.....they vandilize, make threats and try to do harm to the democrats that voted for the HCB.......do harm to their families.......this is not what we want in our leaders of this country........I hope everyone doing these acts will be caught and I bet they all will be tied right back to the GOP.....the so called conservative party
It is purely domestic terrorism and the guilty should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
in 6months you will be out you little coward. Your career is over in Va.
Ah the loons and goons are out and angry!!
Thank you Glenn, Rush, Sarah, Sean, and, lest we forget, Ann.
Brought to you by the fine folks at FOX.
Maybe if our political leaders stopped yelling, calling names and lying, their constituents would understand that this type of behaviour is not okay. I just heard on the news that someone from the teabaggers posted Rep. Perriello's brothers address on their website telling people it was the representative's address and to go over there to let him know how they felt about the health care bill. It was also reported that his brother called the person and asked that his address be removed from the website which they refused to do.
Another case of the radicals inciting violence against other people. What a country full of hate we've become. Instead of everyone trying to outdo or hurt other people, how about tring to get along and accomplish something. Violence, either physical or verbal, never produces anything good or changes anything. Sad, sad, sad!
Iraq was supposed to become more like the US. Instead, the US is becoming as violent as Iraq. What's next? Suicide bombers at Democratic Headquarters?
The nastiest people are only turning away rational people from 'their cause". Violence could be compared to wetting yourself in a dark suit. Feels good, accomplishes nothing.
Stop taking my taxes @ 5:30: Do you or do you not support these domestic terrorists, cause you sure sound like a "brick-thrower" to me.
