President Obama is set for a busy week, touting health care reform in Maine, then heading to Massachusetts and North Carolina.

Washington (CNN) - Barack Obama heads to Maine next week, the president's second stop outside of the nation's capitol to tout the benefits of health care reforms since he signed the bill into law on Tuesday.

The White House says the president will hold a health care event in Portland, Maine next Thursday. Obama went to Iowa Thursday to build support for the health care measure, his first event outside of Washington since signing the legislation.

After his stop in Maine, Democratic sources tell CNN that Obama is expected to headline a Democratic National Committee fundraiser in Boston.

The White House says the next day the president jumps on Air Force One again, destination Charlotte, North Carolina, where he's scheduled to deliver remarks on the economy.

This article was written to insinuate that the President travels too much on taxpayer's dime.

Thus, to insinuate anger among people who freak out over taxes – like rednecks/republicans. Even though he travels no more or less than any other President before him.

This is how your media works – it tries to stir up anger & emotion, because anger & emotion will always trump logic.

President Obama is young and fit just like a lot of our progressive young Americans. John McCain would be dead if he had to keep a schedule like this one, he'd do the same thing he did on the campaign trail when he said he had to go back to Washington and what did he do, go in his office and close the door to take a nap.

Cindy your right it is on our dime and he does travel to much. Why does he have to sell his healthcare plan if its as great as he says.

Obama is worthless---and 2012 cannot get here fast enough.

One and done Obama---just like Jimmy Carter.

Obama and the loony left Democrats are going to figure out real fast after the November elections---the MAJORITY in the country do NOT want their push for European socialism in our country.

Has everyone seen some of the recent polls??? Mitt Romney is pretty much tied in polls asking "Will you vote for Obama or Romney".

The Campaigner-in-chief is at ait again....he can't help himself...this bill already passed he needs to stop trying to sell it....it is a horrible peice of legislation that will kill even more jobs and we continue to loss more and more while he focused on this job killer....

So much for BHO's "laser focus on jobs" that he promised over a month ago (instead he focused on a bill that will kill jobs – guess you saw Verizon, john Deere, Catepillar, etc)....yet another lie to add to the ever growing list....what a fraud you foolish people voted in.

And Ryan you might want to check your travel stats...in the first year in office he p*$$ed away more tax money than any other prez on overseas trips and my bet is he has made more domestic wasteful trips than any other pres before him....

Ryan... there is no point for him to sell the health care bill anymore. He won, he got his way. He shouldn't be spending time continuing to sell a law he's already put into effect when he should be focusing on the economy and jobs and getting us out of this recession/depression for good.
All he's doing is campaigning for the Democrats so he doesn't lose his 3 house majority.

Sorry, but are we suggesting that getting out of the Washington bubble and actually speaking directly with the American people is somehow an indulgent waste of tax dollars?

That's probably one of their best uses!

I don't mind that our President is keeping busy doing the People's business. He's obviously an intelligent, organized person who knows how to take care of himself, despite a rigorous work schedule.

I know it costs taxpayer money to do this, but he's doing work on our behalf – unlikes GW Bush who spent over 500 days on vacation at his Crawford, Texas ranch over the course of his 8 years in office. Now THAT was a waste of money!

For once there is a President who cares more about the people than his Prestige & Office. So what he travels, is he not travelling to meet American's?

Ryan, the media stirred up anger and emotion against Bush, thus the United States elected it'e first socialist President. Obama is the most devicsive and partisan President in the history of the US. His agenda is driven by hate and division of the country.

Good! I'm glad to see our president is making himself so available to the public. It's great that he recognizes that he is a servant of the people and has an obligation to explain himself to them.

Overall, I'd have to say that he's doing a much better job at fulfilling that obligation than others who recently held the position.

Obama is a good campaigner. Too bad he has to campaign to sell a healthcare plan to the American people that he had to bribe his own party members to vote for.

Ignorance is NOT bliss- The President is getting the TRUTH out to answer all the lies and distortions. It's nice to have a President who doesn't spend all his time in Crawford, Texas! He's out there being a President!

Better for President Obama to travel connecting with American people; talking about the issues we care about...... than flying dozens of times a months to his Crawford ranch!

Bush flew to his Crawford ranch? 879 times.

President Obama has accomplished alot for the all of the American people:
    Equal pay for women.
The Economy is beginning to recover. (The stimulus bill has worked...I can give you many examples).
    Regaining respectablitiy in the World.
    Following the Constution...no torture.
Health Care Reform that will help all Americans and over 32 million uninsured. (Gallup Poll 49% approve, 40% disapprove).
Arms control deal with the Russians
    Progress in the war effort.

Gallup poll Approval Rating at 51%

And he has basically did this with the GOP, party of NO.

  25. Copying From The Smart Kid in Class?

I hesitate to criticize this President for the way he executes anything.

When all is said and done, he achieved something that

    Roosevelt tried & failed
    Trumman tried & failed
    Kennedy tried & failed
    Nixon tried & failed
    Clinton tried & failed

I'll bet if you change just one little thing in the way the Obama Administration executed Health Care Reform, it doesn't pass.

Now, having anticipated that the GOP would attempt to repeal the bill, the President can go on the road to defend it without fatiguing the America public because he didn't innundate them before hand.

He knows his enemy's next move before they make it.

    Checkmate for President Barack Obama.
