Toby Keith was also surprised to be featured in a Sarah Palin special on Fox News.

(CNN) - LL Cool J wasn't the only one surprised to see that he was part of Sarah Palin's upcoming Fox News program, "Real American Stories."

A representative for country star Toby Keith told CNN that she too was unaware that Fox News was using an old interview of Keith's, conducted sometime in early 2009.

"I had no idea Toby's interview was going to air on Sarah Palin's special. I found out after the press release went out and was contacted by a reporter asking about the show," Keith’s publicist said. "It is an old interview….I was never contacted by Fox requesting permission. I still have not heard from Fox."

Calls to Fox News for comment have not been returned.

C'mon, EVERYone know Fox News isn't REALLY news! As one who spent the better part of my life as a journalist it's easy to see their "news" is really nothing more than a cheap knock-off of the real thing.

The folks that run that electronic rag wouldn't know real journalism if it walked up and bit 'em on the butt.

How could Tobey NOT know? I somehow think there is a bit misunderstanding with these stars and Fox News, which they don't like. Sad.

So...Palin, McCain and Fox News all profess to be complete supporters of private enterprise and individual rights but could care less about music copyrights and false/misleading advertising.

    What Jerks.

This is getting strange. If they asked he probably would have loved to do it. Why didn't they? Oh – They are a bunch of lying idiots.

Pretty unbelievable. Haven’t even launched the show yet and already it’s in chaos… and like 75% of Republicans think Palin would make a good president! And how pathetic is Fox? I saw that instead of apologizing to LL Cool J (who by all accounts is a nice guy) for their own screw up, they insulted him (one minute he’s promoted as an inspiring story, but when he balked at Palin’s show they called him a “fledgling actor”). I know plenty of conservatives that I respect, but they really have to face the fact that the Republican party has been taken over by incompetents and crazed fanatics.

Nobody in their right mind wants anything to do with Palin so they take old interviews from unknowing peopel and use them as if they were just given. They keep stooping low.

It would seem that Fox has to use old interviews for Palin's show since no one wants to talk to her. I find it interesting Fox didn't even ask and that they won't discuss it publicly. Someday they'll figure out that whatever they're paying her isn't worth it!!

Is it against FCC regulations for a "News Program" to post falsehoods without there first being a disclaimer?

Faux Spews should be forced to disclose that all their "news" programs are fronts for right wing propaganda. They should also be put on notice that fomenting violence against those who they disagree with, makes them accomplices in any actual acts of domestic terrorism, and subject to prosecution.

Wouldn't you think, after all the charges and counter charges while she was Governor, all the lies they came up with on the trail in 2008, and all the lies she has been caught in since, that Sarah Palin MIGHT be involved enough in something touting her name to make sure that the people Fox implied she 'interviewed' had actually been contacted for consent to use old interview footage and put Palin's name on it? It was one thing in 2008 when she was new to the national scene for her to appear unprepared, but this woman has spent the last year in the lower 48 running off her mouth. I guess she really is as dumb as we think...she hasn't even tweeted on this, admitting a mistake. Hopefully this is an April Fool's joke on Fox, and she will be one show and done. No one I know will be watching.

Sarah Barracuda is at it again. The rock duo Heart publicly condemed the McCain-Palin ticket for using its '70s hit "Barracuda" as the theme for their Palin campaigh and once again this ditz does not even respect a person to let him know about what she wants to do, shes just does it.

I think that Toby Keith should have a court issue an injuction until Fox News (such as they are) and Palin can get some agreement from him for a new interview. To air old stuff with out permission is just not proper. I guess that they don't know that at Fox. You can't expect Palin to understand that. It requires some consideration which she doesn't seem to have.

Fox is part of the republican party and will lie or use things they have not paid for or got permission to use to further their lies and innuendoes.
