Palin, Bachmann rally conservatives

Minneapolis, Minnesota (CNN) - Republican hot button Sarah Palin took the stage Wednesday in downtown Minneapolis, Minnesota, calling on conservatives to "get our country back on the right track."

"It's not going to be easy. This is a challenge," she told the crowd. "The first task is to restore balance and common sense, and the first test will be at the ballot box in November."

The former Alaska governor and current conservative superstar headlined the event hosted by the Republican Party of Minnesota. Her last appearance in Minnesota was for her book tour in December.

Palin also offered a direct thank you to members of the Tea Party movement.

"I thank you for being part of this beautiful grassroots movement that's really sweeping across our country and it is full of common-sense conservatives who are ready to take our country back."

yeah, 10,000 real supporters; unlike an Obama rally where they bus people in, bribe the local homeless shelters with $10 starbucks cards...and basically give the presence that the crowd is real....the country's predominentally conservative, and it's going to show big time in November

It's really strange how Palin's fans treat her with this messiah-like reverence, as if she is "the One" who will deliver them unto some kind of conservative utopia.

Excellent observation. The tightie rigthies love to call Obama "the One" and "the Messiah" but they treat the Alaska quitter the same way. They would HATE to be called on that point......

Palin will NEVER be president. It would destroy America. The only people that are for her are those that are uninformed, underage (as proof read some of the comments) and wackos just waiting for an excuse to blast Obama. LOOK AT THE GOOD COMMENTS PALIN LOVERS, those that think of her in the negative far out way the ones who take her side. Some of you seem to write several times under different names and there are still hardly anyone that take her serious as a leader. PLEASE, stop covering this horrible, hateful person

To put this in perspective, Minneapolis has a population of 368,383 people, so IF (and that's a mighty big if) the reported 10,000 showed up for the free rally, that's still only 3% of the city's population – hardly an overwhelming endorsement of the GOP or Ms. Palin. I know in Florida if you have an event that offers free hot dogs you can get 3% of any city's people to show up!

To "Really" and others who disparage those who oppose Palin:

I have never liked shallow, dumb, "mean girls" like Palin. If she wasn't pretty on the outside, no one would give her a second's notice (not to mention, she never would have gotten elected to anything in Alaska, arguably the most "hard up" state in the Union).

I especially don't like the fact that she's a quitter; that she lies ("death panels" – yeah, right!); and that she's a mooch (taking a housing per diem when she was living in her own house).

The only "qualifications" Palin has are to be snarky, mean and greedy, willing to say anything, and justify all her bad behavior by playing the "Christian" card.

And her followers are cut from the same cloth: A bunch of whiny, self-righteous losers, incapable of real honesty and accountability.

So, yes, I will speak up against people like Palin – I think they are a huge detriment to our nation and its future.

Palin = Always was, always will be a Quitter, Liar and Mooch

I find it funny how liberals continue to bash Sara Palin, call her names, say she is irrelevant, etc. etc. etc. but the fact is she is very popular and is not going anywhere and that simply scares the hell out of liberals. They can't stand her and the fact that she can draw so big a crowd.
I also find it funny how hypocritical liberals are. Were they not crying over some of the same name calling that went on during the 08 election run of B.O.? Now they are the ones doing the name calling. Just goes to show you how classless these people really are. "It is ok for me to do it but not you" should be their new motto.
Next time a conservative rubs you the wrong way look in a mirror and try to find out who you are really mad at.

Now let m,e think about a running mate for her in 2012. Bachmann ? Limbaugh? Hannity? Beck? That's really a stellar cast from which to pick. Riiiiight!
