Gingrich to call on Republicans to offer new vision

(CNN) – Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich on Thursday will implore Republican activists to offer a new vision to counter congressional Democrats as the 2010 midterm elections inch closer.

"It's not enough to say no to the radical agenda of Obama, Pelosi, and Reid," Gingrich said in a statement ahead of his speech at the Southern Republican Leadership Conference. "Tonight's speech will explain why real leadership requires Republicans to offer a compelling vision of safety, prosperity, and freedom that stands in vivid contrast to Obama's secular, socialist, machine now running Washington."

The conference, being held in New Orleans Thursday through Sunday, will feature speeches from several top Republicans including RNC Chairman Michael Steele and former GOP vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin. Several potential Republican presidential candidates are also attending the event.

"America needs to know that Republicans say 'yes' to balancing the budget by growing the economy and reducing spending, not by raising or creating new taxes; 'yes' to empowering patients and doctors to reduce healthcare costs, not government bureaucrats; 'yes' to achieving energy independence through an 'all of the above' strategy that will lower energy costs and stop sending our money to hostile regimes, not through an energy tax that will be a burden on small businesses and families," Gingrich said in the statement.

I've got some questions for you Newt:

    1. Why did the GOP against a fiscal commission after they previously supported it?
    2. When was the last time a GOP administration balanced the budget?
    3. What is the definition of socialism?
    4. You understand that there is a separation of church and state right Newt?
    5. Why didn't the GOP do anything about reforming healthcare when they had Congress and the WH?

The economy is indeed growing again under Obama Newt. We were losing nearly 800,000 jobs/month in January 2009, now we just added 160,000 jobs the past month. What are guys going to do when more and more jobs are created? Apparently Obama's policies are working.

Why it still so hard for people to say President Obama. you write RNC Chairman Michael Steele and former GOP vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin, Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich. But when it come down to saying President Obama, House Speaker Pelosi or Senator Reid you almost always leave off there position of office. WHY
