Jindal to RNC staffers: Welcome to New Orleans – Behave!

Bobby Jindal was the first Republican speaker to broach the topic of the RNC’s recent disastrous decision to spend money at a sex-themed Hollywood nightclub.
Bobby Jindal was the first Republican speaker to broach the topic of the RNC’s recent disastrous decision to spend money at a sex-themed Hollywood nightclub.

New Orleans (CNN) – Though it's a hot topic among GOP insiders at the Southern Republican Leadership Conference in New Orleans, none of the event's speakers had uttered a word about the Republican National Committee's disastrous decision to spend money at a sex-themed Hollywood nightclub.

Until Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal finally broke the ice on Friday – albeit in a coy way.

Jindal took to the stage and welcomed conference-goers to New Orleans. He told them to "enjoy our great food, our great music, our great culture."

Then this: "A word of warning to RNC staffers: You may want to stay away from Bourbon Street," he said. "Just a word of advice."

The joke drew laughter and applause from the crowd.

jindal, you stupid hypocrite. Welcome to your city. The same city the repugs still have to mention in their speeches? That city?
I am glad that they are spending their money in the city that Katrina destroyed but that they still can't get over the fact that the dummy in the WH didn't know the hurricane was coming!!!
I am sure they have already been in Bourbon Street because if they can go to a lesbian bondage club in CA they have plenty of establishments on Bourbon Street.
Somebody follow these fools. We need more dirt of them.

Palin is also not much of a American history expert. The Reagan administration was the first to negotiate a 30% reduction in nuclear arms with the then Soviet Union. But not to worry we still have enough nukes to destroy this planet seven times over. And that is not counting any one else's nukes.
Does Palin believe that if she says so it is so in reality?

I wonder why Gov. Jindal does not want Republican Staffers on Bourbon Street. I'm sure they can find some good prices on office supplies down there.

Cute comment but, as an Independent I choose Palin & Gingrich 2012! :)

No more thickheaded, slow, insensitive, dull-witted, misinformed, ideologically destructive, historically obtuse, obfuscating Obama!

Jindal should tell his fellow Grand Ol' Plunderer (GOP) Re'crook'lican National Committee to REMEMBER HURRICANE KATRINA and how our former, 'sitting-duck' President G. W. Bush, along with his sidekick, 'Tricky, Dicky' Cheney did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to Help the People of New Orleans, LA.

The U.S. government and Gulf Coast states have consistently violated the human rights of hurricane victims since Hurricane Katrina killed about 1,800 people and caused widespread devastation after striking in August 2005, Amnesty International said Friday.

The report, entitled "Un-Natural Disaster," said the treatment of hurricane victims and government actions in housing, health care and policing have prevented poor minority communities from rebuilding and returning to their homes on the Gulf Coast.

Amnesty took particular aim at New Orleans, where public housing was bulldozed, hospitals have been slow to reopen and the criminal justice system has been plagued by police brutality, lengthy pretrial detentions and an underfunded indigent defense system.

Jindal is such a tool. Like it's really hysterically funny that people's money was squandered so some low-level wonk could get his jollies on the RNC's dime. When will Jindal be doing open-mike night at the Laff Factory?

Jindal is aweome. And on this issue, he is right to bring it up. RNC staffers are known to frequent sex clubs in order to promote conservative family values. Bourbon street businesses will be happy their governor is telling visitors to stay away.

Then they got on their tour buses with democratic posters on the side, and took the round about way to Bourbon street. Don't make us think they are saints Mr. Jindal. America has seen and heard differently.
