Jindal to RNC staffers: Welcome to New Orleans – Behave!

Bobby Jindal was the first Republican speaker to broach the topic of the RNC’s recent disastrous decision to spend money at a sex-themed Hollywood nightclub.
Bobby Jindal was the first Republican speaker to broach the topic of the RNC’s recent disastrous decision to spend money at a sex-themed Hollywood nightclub.

New Orleans (CNN) – Though it's a hot topic among GOP insiders at the Southern Republican Leadership Conference in New Orleans, none of the event's speakers had uttered a word about the Republican National Committee's disastrous decision to spend money at a sex-themed Hollywood nightclub.

Until Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal finally broke the ice on Friday – albeit in a coy way.

Jindal took to the stage and welcomed conference-goers to New Orleans. He told them to "enjoy our great food, our great music, our great culture."

Then this: "A word of warning to RNC staffers: You may want to stay away from Bourbon Street," he said. "Just a word of advice."

The joke drew laughter and applause from the crowd.

I see the people of New Orleans as usual continue to cry for their federal hand outs-just like a bunch of lazy and wothless democraps-maybe you should try working like a Republican and then have something(until the parasite democraps cry that you have more than them).

Keep those teabaggers in line, Bobby. They can get might raucus, especially when they don't get their way. Sarah will try to incite them and get them all riled up. But If you get a chance, tell Sarah to shut that big fat mouth of hers. She will be spending all her time squalling and hollerin' about Obama and everything he says and does, and that "community organizer" can't get anything right," except get himself elected as President of the United States and receive respect around the world for being an intelligent, thoughtful and decent man, a Great President, and not a war-monger.

Democrats-a person or group of people that expect the government to take care of their every need.A person or group of people that dislike working for a living.A person or group of people that for most part are ignorant of economics/finance/banking,they think money goes on trees in Washington.A party of welfare queens and entitled beings that is paid for by hard working Republicans.

"Webster's Dictionary defines "Double Standard" as: Liberals who give Republicans a hard time about being human."

Nice try, but no. The reason GOPers get crapped on for behaving like this is because they pull the self-declared moral superiority card over EVERYTHING. "Family values," "Krischun Nashun!", etc. etc. Liberals aren't out there selling their ideology by wrapping it up in the language of morality...we're out there selling our solutions by using facts, evidence making practical arguments...more reality, not morality. Morality is fine when you've got time to sit around in a smoking jacket and engage in frantic bouts of intellectual masturbation, but the real world doesn't work that way. So get a clue, we get to "circle the wagons" because we never claimed to be above it like the conservatives do. It's your blazing hypocrisy that makes you the target, not the underlying behavior itself.

Come on Mr. Hamby, try being a real journalist and leave your partisan political biases at the door. The RNC did not make a "decision to spend money at a sex-themed Hollywood nightclub". One single staffer made that poor decision and he was fired. Just like you should be if you can't start reporting the actual facts concerning a story instead of spinning it in favor of your chosen party.

Tom in Illinois, President Obama was a college professor. I'm pretty sure he wasn't elected to that position.

The Republicans have the gall to show up in New Orleans? After the way they handled Katrina?
    ---------------
    Come on Dave,
After Mayor Nagin (a Dem ) and Gov Blanco (a Dem) did such a bang up job and especially since THEY were the first responders and had NO clue? Remember how Nagin violated the 2nd Amendment by disarming legal, registered gun owners? Wanna bet he didn't touch the weapons of the criminal element! Remember the flooded school buses? Yet no Dem blame, right, Dave? Based upon your theory the entire city should be a Dem-free zone!

Janice- I was thinking the same thing, only you said it much better. Diane in California- You Libs have worn out that tired old RACIST cliche. The only racist comments I ever see posted are by the lefties, accusing anybody that doesn't agree with the Socialist-Progressive Agenda, of being racist. It won't work anymore!

Jindal is disrespecting businesses on Bourbon Street, and I hope they don't forget it. Normal people can go to Bourbon Street and have a good time without acting like idiots. Oh, sorry, I forgot Jindal was referring to Republicans. We all know that they are prone to act like Vitter trash.

    Jindal to GOP:

There is a house in New Orleans
    They call the Risin Sun.....
    And it's been the ruin
    of many a poor boy................

I think it is funny when life imitates art.

Whenever the GOP gets together I'm more concerned about Voo-doo economics and less concerned about their personal lives.

funny how some think that granny's donations to the RNC were given for a free for all at Voyeur. Just because it wasn't tax money doesn't mean they wanted their donations earmarked for Steele to get an 18,000 buck office redecoration. They don't like getting a phone sex hotline to talk to a dirty girl when they call in to donate so family values Repugs can get elected. If their officials are using private jets and limos it certainly makes it harder to criticize with a straight face the Speaker of the House for having access to an emergency jet. It isn't so much the club as it is just an obvious hypocrisy to claim to be worried about how hard-earned american money is being spent when they're proven to be wasting it so well themselves.

I thought the republican party was the party of values? More like the party of hypocrites– Rush Limbaugh is a fine example of this. Let them cry as I see the stock mkt is coming back. Just like under clinton. When the Dems are in it always gets better. Look at 1987 – Mkt crashed under Reagen. 1929- Hoover -CRASH! – 1957 Severe recession under Ike- These repubs need to look at history and learn from it. Go DEMS!
