New Orleans (CNN) - Will Americans start to hear more policy speeches from Sarah Palin in the future?
"Absolutely," Palin told CNN in a brief interview outside her New Orleans hotel on Friday. "The more of that, the better."
The former Alaska governor chatted for a few moments after wrapping up her speech to the Southern Republican Leadership Conference, a showing that was closely scrutinized by political insiders looking for clues as to whether she's serious about a presidential bid in 2012.
She devoted much of her remarks to the topic of energy policy, a move possibly designed to prove to Republican insiders that she's as passionate about policy issues as she is about fiery political combat.
Palin, emerging from the Windsor Court Hotel wearing a zip-up NASA sweater over her suit, told CNN she had a "blast" addressing the conference and promised to continue with a policy-oriented message.
"It was fun to talk to people of something of substance, like energy, that is so appreciated by these folks because they know that unless we have this energy independence, we will not be prosperous, we will not be secure," she said. "That's what I wanted to concentrate on today."
Before she could answer another question, a pair of aides shuttled Palin into a waiting SUV to drive her to the airport.

We can only hope that this blabbermouth, dimwit keeps talking incessantly. She is God's greatest gift to Democrats, a bad cold for Republicans, and somewhat of a passing interest to late night TV comedy writers. She does have the Tea Baggers, which is not surprising, considering they are a cheap copy of the Alaska Independance Party, a loose comglamorate of seditionists, the permamently unemployed, new-nazi skin heads, and aimless wanderers searching for Jesus and a way to evade paying their taxes.
That's a lot of noise, but historically, not a lot of votes. Of course, they love the cameras and the media has to cover something this summer, doesn't it?
My President has to have a functioning cerebellum. Palin does not., Obama does, so he stays on the job for the full 8 years. She goes onto her next media gig with google-eyed Bachman and we all get a good laugh in the meantime. It was an easy vote for millions of us before, and now it's easier than ever. Next story please.

All us "libbys" (jeez, if you're going to attempt adolescent humor, at least get the spelling correct – it's 'libbies' !) are not frothing at the mouth – we're too busy falling down laughing at the thought of Ms. Palin making a 'policy speech'... What poor sucker on her payroll is stuck with writing the speech and helping her memorize it? Cause you know, Palin wouldn't be caught dead using a teleprompter... this is going to be fun!!!
What is Palin's stategy to stop another financial metldown?
What is her policy to stop the spread of "nukes?"
What is her policy towards North Korea?
How is she going to revitalize the manuafacturing base of the country?
What is her policy on the dollar?
How is she going to raise education standards in the U.S. ?
What is her detailed solution to healthcare after the Republicans repeal the new law?
I would like for once for her to stop the sound bites and talk policy. I also want the media to stop giving her sound bites publicity and ask her unscripted policy question.

She can give policy speeches on what she knows best: Fostering domestic terrorism, supporting her secessionist husband and quitting. GET BENT Palin!

The problem with anything this woman has to say is this: she was elected governor of her state. She was chosen for the failed GOP ticket for the highest office. She returned to her state and resigned a full year and half before her office term was to expire. And now, she wants to TALK politics rather than be in a position to lead her state. This woman appears to be an attention hungry, greedy, hate filled person hell-bent on getting as much media attention and money in her pocket as she can. Perhaps next year she'll appear on Dancing With the Stars and complete her drive to be seen. There's a difference in being an intelligent, well informed speaker, and being nothing more than an ill informed rabble rowser.

Policy ideas are Sarah Palin's strength. This is why she has such a large following. She knows what she is talking about and if you really pay close attention, she is talking about things that work for America. We do not want or need a European style government. We can do better. We have proven it. Sarah Palin knows what made us such a great nation and what can make us great again and it's not big government.
