Palin: 'Absolutely' more policy speeches to come

Sarah Palin told CNN Friday that more policy speeches are in the works.
Sarah Palin told CNN Friday that more policy speeches are in the works.

New Orleans (CNN) - Will Americans start to hear more policy speeches from Sarah Palin in the future?

"Absolutely," Palin told CNN in a brief interview outside her New Orleans hotel on Friday. "The more of that, the better."

The former Alaska governor chatted for a few moments after wrapping up her speech to the Southern Republican Leadership Conference, a showing that was closely scrutinized by political insiders looking for clues as to whether she's serious about a presidential bid in 2012.

She devoted much of her remarks to the topic of energy policy, a move possibly designed to prove to Republican insiders that she's as passionate about policy issues as she is about fiery political combat.

Palin, emerging from the Windsor Court Hotel wearing a zip-up NASA sweater over her suit, told CNN she had a "blast" addressing the conference and promised to continue with a policy-oriented message.

"It was fun to talk to people of something of substance, like energy, that is so appreciated by these folks because they know that unless we have this energy independence, we will not be prosperous, we will not be secure," she said. "That's what I wanted to concentrate on today."

Before she could answer another question, a pair of aides shuttled Palin into a waiting SUV to drive her to the airport.

what does it take for this women to just go away? she has no idea what she is talking about nor does she have any good plans that will help the US economy. and if she thinks about picking a fight with obama she will fail miserably because all she will do is just avoid answering complex political questions

This woman is a joke. She is all about making money for herself. It really concerns me that some people in this country would consider voting for her. She has the nerve to criticize the president for his nuclear policy and to go as far as questioning his experience in making this decision. He gets information that she does not have access to. She could not even complete her term as a govenor. Even President Reagan was for a reduction in nuclear weapons. This country will be lost if she ever gets her foot in the white house. Think wisely americans !

Are those handcuffs? She should be imprisoned for the foul vitriol that spews from her slanderous mouth. I wonder if she has ever gone a single day in her life without lying or acting.

    Please Palin,
Read up on your history and know the facts, like Reagan began the nuclear reduction by 33%

    Peace :-)

Great speech today by Mrs. Palin. Don't take my word for it, listen for yourself. Much more content than anything Dear Leader could present without his teleprompter. And for those of you screaming for a presser, I submit that she should hold one when Dear Leader does... how many months has it been now?

If Sarah Palin was 30 yrs. older, over-weight, wrinkled and unattractive, would any Tea Baggers or Republicans pay attention to her? Not no, but heck no!!!

They are so lost looking for a leader, they choose looks over brains. Oh, if only Anna Nicole Smith was still around. Her TV show would be walking away with all the hardware at the Emmys!!!

how about some IN DEPTH interviews where there's an actual back and forth questions and answers – not pre-planned one sided speeches? Let us see you respond on your feet! Your "expertise" should be apparent then!

I blame the obviously intellegence deprived senior from AZ for bringing this scourge from Alaska onto the American public. His apparent lack of concern for America truly shows. He will always be remember for the one who released this Calamity of Thought, this hate monger, this money seeking media whor3. I can't believe that the Republican party, the party of Lincoln, the party of Reagan wants to continue affiliation with Arizona's Senator Dumb and Alaska's Dumber. $arah Painlin is much like those acts you see at carnivals. You pay your buck or two and the realize it wasn't even worth the pittance your paid.
