Palin: 'Absolutely' more policy speeches to come

Sarah Palin told CNN Friday that more policy speeches are in the works.
Sarah Palin told CNN Friday that more policy speeches are in the works.

New Orleans (CNN) - Will Americans start to hear more policy speeches from Sarah Palin in the future?

"Absolutely," Palin told CNN in a brief interview outside her New Orleans hotel on Friday. "The more of that, the better."

The former Alaska governor chatted for a few moments after wrapping up her speech to the Southern Republican Leadership Conference, a showing that was closely scrutinized by political insiders looking for clues as to whether she's serious about a presidential bid in 2012.

She devoted much of her remarks to the topic of energy policy, a move possibly designed to prove to Republican insiders that she's as passionate about policy issues as she is about fiery political combat.

Palin, emerging from the Windsor Court Hotel wearing a zip-up NASA sweater over her suit, told CNN she had a "blast" addressing the conference and promised to continue with a policy-oriented message.

"It was fun to talk to people of something of substance, like energy, that is so appreciated by these folks because they know that unless we have this energy independence, we will not be prosperous, we will not be secure," she said. "That's what I wanted to concentrate on today."

Before she could answer another question, a pair of aides shuttled Palin into a waiting SUV to drive her to the airport.

She needs a court order to wear a lie detector in public. It must be so embarrasing for her supporters to see that everytime she makes a statement she shows how incredibly un informed she is on policy and politics. The good news is that everytime she speaks she loses credibility. Only her "Palindrones" don't see through her constant lies and hate for America

You Americans are total prisoners of your apathy.

Her "policy" is the Rupert Murdoc formula: be outrageous, lie, and anything else that will sell to the uneducated.

Policy issues? What a joke! Palin's policy is how many more gullible sheep can she gather into her fantasy world to keep lining her pockets. This woman is a very sad joke and McCain will never be forgiven for unleashing her on us. I'm very embarrassed to say that I have people close to me that actually think this broad is highly intelligent and also gracious. Of course these same people also only listen to Faux news. Very, very scary!!!!!!!!!!!

Dumb, dumber, dumbest..... how far can she go?
Is there something that comes after "-est"? Superdumb?
We may need new words; the English language is simply not going to be able to cover it all.

If she thinks she has a handle on ANY policy, let's see her debate it. Considering her awful interviews with Gibson and Couric (which were softball lobs of questions in my opinion), I'd say she'd fall flat on her rear. The day she agrees to a hardline interview is the day the country will again see how inept Palin truly is.

Palin's comments on the recently signed nuclear arms reduction treaty show a dangerous ignorance of history and reality. Accusing Obama of leaving the US dangerously vulnerable and saying we need Ronald Reagan, Palin failed to recognize that thanks to Obama's GOP predecessors, the nuclear arsenals of the US and Russia have come down significantly from their peaks and that the new treaty still leaves each side with enough firepower to destroy the other. And she obviously is ignorant of the many speeches Ronald Reagan gave in which he set as a goal the eventual abolition of nuclear weapons. It is truly breathtaking that she is taken seriously by anyone given how little she knows about policy, about history, and about her own heroes.

It is very difficult to take this woman seriously. She needs to think before she speaks. If what she says isn't scripted anyway. She is a disgrace.
She is a quitter, a loud mouth, a radical, a fundamentalist christian, a hypocrite, and obviously the best the Republican Party has to offer.

Palin 2012, guarantee's a victory for all that oppose the fiscally irresponsible Republican Party, who can't even keep their own house in order.

I'm just curious what the handlers of the GOP hoped to foist upon the American public after the last election should they have won with McCain/Palin after what they pulled off during the GWB administration and what's their agenda by letting this ignoramus continue to speak for them. God help us all!

Sarah needs to stick with the "fancy pageant walkin." I suspect living with any policy she made would likely be a nightmare. How in the world does anyone think she is intelligent or capable. I'm totally baffled by those who follow her.

Hey for $150,000 each speech.... I'd be right there with her. She is in it only for the money and the fame. Being Governor was too much work for too little money - you really can't blame her - she shouldn't ever have to worry about retirement.

We see and hear the opposition acting like lunatics. We do not want this kind of nonsense in our government. The ideal of Demcrat Rep and Congressmen are being threaten harm by the opposition. Do not let the oppostion scare us.
They say Obama wouldn't be president...he is. They said we couldn't win anything...we did.

Of course she is going to be making one canned speech over and over. She is getting paid hundreds of thousands of dollars per speech. She doesn't care about the People or the Country – she only cares about making money off of firing up the ignorant with her idiotic and false statements.
More than half of Republican women despise Palin and find her embarrasing to the Party. 70% of all Americans think she is a moron and unqualifed for ANY job with responsbilities.
As long as they keep paying this one-trick monkey, she will dance for the money!

Sarah the quitter, the liar of the year for 2009, and doesn't even know what the vice president does, doesn't know Africa isn't a country and thinks nuclear arms reduction isn't for the best of this planet is going to give speeches on policy???!!! That's the funniest joke I've heard in months. Her analogies are those of an elementary school student. I'm afraid I have to agree with Keith Olberman...she's an idiot. Anyone who supports her is truely ignorant.
